Wondering if The Magnificent Mile or the North Loop are preferred? LOL..............I must recuse myself due to the urge to shop!

Downtown is great, but the problem for us dudes is the high cost of parking.  Better bets are by O'hare Airport, Oakbrook and Schaumbrg.  Good luck.

I'll be in Schaumburg my 1st week and Downtown my 2nd. I've only stayed with a friend DT so it's my 1st time getting a hotel there.

Any major convenience difference between Schaumburg and Arlington Hts? I know nothing about AH.

AH is a mile or so further north, one or two stops up the highway. If you have a good place, no need to change.

As for staying downtown, I think staying north of the river is preferable to staying in the loop, as parking and traffic are a little more convenient. Some of the hotels off Michigan Avenue. Feel free to PM me if you want some specific suggestions about places that seem to work.

lol.............yeah...i usually stay in schaumburg and love it. but AH has some awesome deals on hotels right now. hard to pass up!
