I was thinking about marketing as it applies to the hobby. I've concluded that higher quality individuals are found reading, if not participating, TER. I contrast that with BP and others inbetween.

My question for the guys is, what elements of a lady's ad posting attracts you most? Photos? Headlines? Copy (what exactly)? Familiarity with the lady through other posts? Please be as specific as possible.

Ladies, what have you found effective? Do you experiment with different layouts?

would be old pictures.  There are some providers that are using the same pics on their ads that they were using when I began the hobby 6 years ago!  Updated pictures always spark my interest.

I like cell phone photos, nothing dramatic no airbrushing.  It lets me know the girl is real and not trying to hide anything.  I like links to outside websites so that I can see exactly what services they offer.  Call me shy, but I am kind of apprehensive about asking a provider about "bbbj", or "multi-cups", or "greek" over the phone.  If the services listed match what I want, then I will call.  I hate calling only to find out that the girl does not over the services I am looking for.

Your words. Call me whatever name you like, but I enjoy talking a little, and feeling like I am interacting with an intelligent, interesting woman. Others who I respect just want the clear facts, no BS, no mystery, no obscure quotes and I understand their view. Humor, oblique and obscure comments, thought-provoking quotes all attract me.

Having said that, I will pursue a lady whose words do not interest me, both because I find the rest of the package attractive, and also because the only way to know for sure that this is an interesting, intelligent woman is to interact with her. The nice words may not be her, and boring words may conceal a fascinating woman.

I do not consider myself representative of the average hobbyist however - depending on your point of view, I am either very strange, or boringly unexciting. In any case, since everything that leads up to the meeting is a fantasy, a mental tease of some sort, I look for things that stimulate me in a different way. Which applies to the meeting, too, but it is not just a tease.

-pictures that show at least the body, seeing the face is a huge bonus, but I understand why most women don't do this.  For me, the face is the most important part of how physically attractive a woman is.
