I may be guilty myself of not adding to discussions, posting jokes, etc.  I love Sinful's photos, and I am amazed at what she posts, not to mention her stories.  Of course, the Perfesser is always good for an interesting post.

It's not just you... Ever since the change this place has gone totally quiet.  I think having the provider ads here certainly helped spark other conversation.

Oh well... Less time spent surfing here just means I need to find another outlet.

I can understand having some levity and banter on occasion.  But, if you seek it everyday from TER, then you are on the wrong board.  Go to Facebook and/or interact with your real world friends if you want a daily dose of that.  TER is an escort review and discussion board.  I don't go to the ESPN message boards to discuss cooking recipes on a daily basis.

Separating the ads helps me as a hobbyist do my research more efficiently.  It is easier to scan thru the posts and see which ladies I'm interesting in seeing.  The discussion board is only as good as we the participants make it to be.  The guys always complaining usually never start a thread, or even review for that matter.

If folks want this board to be about non-related hobby material, then go ahead.  Unless you are moderated, you are free to post anything you desire.

Personally, I'd like a combo of useful hobby info and the occasional distraction.  Posting about B&S, rip-offs, NCNS, and possible dangers would benefit both hobbyists and providers.  Being alerted about the bad elements will help steer guys toward the quality providers and agencies.  Posting daily jokes doesn't help us in that regard.

As for the 411 & ISO posts, the more info you provide, the more likely you will receive a response.  As it has been stated before, posting under an alias will lessen the likelihood of getting any help.  LE and stalkers are a real threat.  Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.

Bottom line - if you think the board is boring, do something about it.  Be more active and post.  We have the ability to control the content.

There are some people who are social and appreciate the sense of comraderie that this board provides through fun posts, good natured debates, and conversation.  Others who visit to gain information or assistance.  Still others who have information or warnings to share.  For those who only want to know who is in town, or what specials are offered, the separate ad board makes this easy.

The bottom line is that we control this boards direction.  If we want more of a sense of community, we must each participate.  (See Andrea's misguided Sox post.  Lol.  She knows I love her and consider her a friend even if I am a Cubs fan).  For the lurkers who do not participate, and are disappointed that the board has lost some of its fun, step up to the plate and contribute.  

For the guys who do not wish to participate, visit the ad board.  Don't call sour grapes about others who want to have fun.

I agree with the OP.  IMO (as an infrequent poster) that the Chicago Board is just not busy enough right now to justify separate boards.  (BTW, going to the next page is not really that tough, guys (and girls); neither is skipping an ad or other post that does not interest you.)  There may well be other local boards that are much busier (I haven't looked) and where the move makes more sense.  I don't know if it's practical for TER to do different things in different locations, but. . .   OTOH, it's not all that hard to just look at the two boards in sequence-just doens't seem as much fun or as lively.

With the old format, all it took was one train-wreck thread to push a brand new ad to page 2 where it got a lot less views. Of course we could all go to page 2 but we're guys and we tend to take short cuts and that means if you're not on page 1, it's out of sight, out of mind baby. I've missed a few visiting friends whose ads scrolled off this board so fast I never knew they blew into town. I'm lazy, so shoot me

OTOH, there seems to be more activity on the ad board. Ashley Marie almost took an entire page with her endless picture posts, LOL. Did you see any guys complaining? Just one, but he's the mod so he doesn't count. Sorry Fugly, somebody's gotta be the bad guy around here

In summary, a picture is worth a thousand words and the more pics we see, the more posts there will be. Hint hint ladies, we like pics. Sweets, we really like your pics as you'll clearly see if you check out your ad. So it's off to the ad board with me where I seem to be spending a lot more of my TER time lately...

I do like the fact that the ladies' ads stay on the front page longer which is really nice. Clicks are way down from what they used to be when they were on the local board tho I'm totally guilty of not posting more fun stuff on here myself. I try every once in a while but sometimes life just takes over. I used to like to come on this board as a diversion for myself when I just cant' read another text book. But now, I find my textbooks to be a diversion when I just don't want to read another ISO post from some guy using an alias or has no review history.

Change is hard....
