The subject line is clear.  It's just a post that you don't have to click on.  If anyone is available for that type of appointment, it saves the poster some hassle. Not the way I would try to schedule, but to each his own.

And could be worse as we all know. There are so many ways to schedule that do not subject the whole world to one person's calendar issues. It is as if I wanted to send one person a PM but didn't want to look up their handle, so I chose to post it on the board. Consider what the board would become if everyone decided to use it in this manner.

Yes, we can ignore these, but they are clutter and who needs it? So I make a humble suggestion to the mods - if the quantity of these continues to increase, you may wish to take some steps to assure they do not begin to crowd out real posts with useful or interesting content and are of general interest.

There are no rules against someone using the board to get a last minute date. Many have done that in years past, and had good success. I realize that some of these posts are redundant, but since it isn't the same poster, and not even the same area, it can't be considered an active thread.
