You posted a thread on this subject Friday and now Saturday another one!  What is the deal here?  You sound almost excited to be able to jump on your soap box and scream this doom and gloom crap!  Just like us ad posters, if you want to ad something to what you have already said on the subject..... ad it to your original thread dude!  You seem to know all the inside info on what's being said and not said within Governor Quinns walls.  Why are you struggling so much with a few simple TER rules!

We really don't need a daily update on this nonsense and if you must give us one...... ad it to the original topic!

BTW, if you have a solution for us please share!  However, if your only report is that we are doomed, it sounds like the last time!  We all know how that ended up now don't we!

I still say that if you are going to contact Quinn, the biggest objection that might get his attention would have to be..... "where are all the necessary funds to enforce this upgrade in law going to come from"?

As of Friday, there were no objections to any parts of this bill according to the Governor's legislative office. Nobody has sent any letters to Gov. Quinn asking him to veto the legislation. Regarding a previous post about pay to play allegations-WRONG!! The language inserted, had a public hearing and was addressed in May in both the Senate and the House. Do you actually think that the do gooders from end demand needed to pay a bribe to their language added to this bill??

Is it possible for the Governor to ask senate to strip some language and then he will sign. I still can not believe they can pull this one so fast when they know that Cook county DA is against the extra language they put it in..

Sending letters or calls to his office will make him to veto the Bill or he can ask to re-write the bill to strip the language about Class 4 Felony. :(

Can you post a link to HB 6462 so we can really see what is added to the original bill before we start calling...

When I read the bill it still talks about child prostitution not to be charged as prostitution but human trafficking

"Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez and End Demand Illinois, a coalition of survivor activists, service providers, and law enforcement, championed HB 6462. Once signed, it would be the first law in the nation to make all minors under the age of 18 who are exploited in prostitution completely immune from prosecution. Under existing law, the commercial sexual exploitation of a child is a form of human trafficking carrying severe penalties, but these children have still been arrested and prosecuted for prostitution."

when these issues become heated, as they can be, and debated, they really need to be taken to the "Politics and Religion Board". This board is for the discussion of sex, tits and ass and the beautiful women that go along with that.

While this is an important issue, it is better discussed in a forum that exists for these types of conversations. Please keep this in mind for future postings.

Then you guys can debate the hell out of it on the P&R board and not scare everyone who like me, doesn't understand the law or the complexities of such things.

Thanks,

Thiose involved should be commended for their actions and efforts on behalf of hobbyists and providers.  There are those who have their heads in the sand on this issue, but End Demand is serious about getting this type of legislation passed in all 50 states. Illinois will be used as an example.  Politicians don't care about the cost.  They care about being re-elected.  I welcome this information here.
