It's illegal for the French media to post photos or stories on individuals who have been accused but not yet found guilty in a court of law. The mass media is a potent weapon that has been blatantly misused to socially and financially harm individuals in the United States that the police can't otherwise "get at." I believe France's approach to be far more sound and in the spirit of "not guilty until proven so" as well as avoiding unmerited "cruel and unusual punishment."

Providers & Clients should be careful at the hotels near Ohare airport. Last year the police in several of the suburbs near the airport were doing regular stings that lasted for more than a month. They also posted the escorts & clients pictures in the newspapers. They have started the stings up once again
I just visited and met one provider at an O'Hare location. I felt reasonably safe, since both she and her travel partner are very well reviewed

I'm sorry, but your post is worthless. LE is actively investigating prostitution all over the state of Illinois... this happens on a daily basis. When people get arrested, there's a write-up in the news along with a booking photo. This has been happening since... well, forever.
Next time how about including names of specific hotels being targeted, links to recent arrest articles, or anything specific that may give a little credibility to your information or actually do somebody some good? Otherwise, you're just another Chicken Little.
Did a little googling and the attached story suggests a provider sting around Schaumburg, but the Trib has almost nothing about any other current arrests.

Nothing there suggests much going on near O'Hare as almost all the recent busts seem to be on the south and west sides. I do not think there is a lot of mystery about approach - there are TV shows about it. They rent a hotel room or two, place some ads and take phone calls from guys on one side, while also calling ladies up from ads on the other side. They see how many they can bring to the room in a day.
I suppose there are many variations on that, but it is not a lot more complex. And, as the OP stated, the main enforcement tool used against hobbyists is to out them on the CPD web site and anywhere else they can get that info posted. Public humiliation.
There is a lawsuit right now in Naperville against the city - they arrested a guy for DUI on a holiday weekend stop. Not sure of all the details, but I think he stumbled in a roadside test so they hauled him in. Booked him, name got put in the paper, etc. But the blood test showed zero alcohol, and no drugs, so all charges were dropped. He is royally pissed (understandably) to have been identified as a drunk driver. Probably should ask about this on the legal board, but it does seem like there is a problem with releasing information on someone who is charged, and later found innocent. Seems wrong to release a name of someone who is later found to be innocent.
