I'm working my way through it and none of them have disappointed me thus far. Tho the ambiance at Tru was a bit stuffy for my liking.

One that isn't on there because it's still in the works (opens this summer) is the chef from Avenues (now closed) is opening a new spot in the west loop called Grace. Super excited to try it!

Gawd I love being a foodie in this city!

Do you have a favorite restaurant in the city where you like to go for a special evening out? Or a place you like to take a lady to impress her? I went to what used to be my favorite place in downtown Chicago and was not at all impressed this time around. I'd love to get some suggestions from ladies and gents alike.

I hear it's a real classy joint

and don't forget about

Wendy's ... Taco Bell ... and Pizza Hut !!!

my favorites :D

is where I will take a lady to impress her. Tavern on Rush is my special place to go to as a favorite. I have recently gone to Mastros's..which is suppose to be Chicago's hot spot right now. But sadly its not worth the money and is very overrated.

Unfortunately it wasn't open. Didn't realize until after we parked, but I have heard good things from multiple people about this place so I would definitely try again.

I found BoneFish in Skokie.

I absolutely love romantic dinner dates....
A few of my favorite are

• The Signature Room (mag mile)
• Cafe Absinthe (wicker park)
• Geja's Cafe on Armitage
• melting pot (oakbrook)

For you high rollers. I have never been disappointed with any part of my experience there. A little more casual... I love the Green Zebra, the Red Rooster, and the Purple Pig. Basically if it could be part of a colorful menagerie (or the Himalayas) I will go on a date there and probably be quite happy.

There are many more such as restaurant 676 Signature Room Wow Baeo to name a few.
My favorite asian place is Ginger & Garlic.
Enjoy!
