Depending upon where you plan to live in the Chi-town area, several providers provide in call service in three general areas: Downtown, O'Hare Area and/or Schaumberg, and Oakbrook/Naperville area. I trust you are not looking for an apartment, but a nice hotel that can be your base with which you can accumulate points for free nights. Gentlemen in the suburbs, like yours truly, find going downtown a hassle given the time to get there (about an hours drive for many) and the cost to park (as much as $40). Suburban hotels offer free parking. O'Hare area is convenient for many hobbyists. My suggestion would be to try all three. This way you can decide for yourself which place suits your needs. Personally, I prefer seeing providers in the Oakbrook/Naperville area followed by the Schaumberg area. You could also test Milwaukee from time to time for weekends as that is only a 90 minute drive from Chicago depending upon your location. Also, check out the ads of other providers to see what areas they provide incall. I know of some that rent studio apartments for incall service while others use another providers apartment, paying them a per use rental. If you are looking at an apartment in which to live and provide services, then I would suggest Schaumberg, Lombard (near Oakbrook), and Oak Park, which is on the west side of the city and is serviced by public transportation (CTA and Metra) to Chicago. I know of a few providers who have incall in the Oak Park/Franklin Park area. The only problem is overnight parking for guests. One has to get a permit from the police department for guest overnight parking and as the resident you are allowed three or four overnight permits a year. This might hamper business. One For a Trust this is helpful to you.
Hi Ladies and Gents,
I'm a ladies that will be moving from Boston to Chi and I'm looking for a permanent incall location downtown. I asked about incall locations but posted in the Chicago Ad board vs here. I'm wanting to secure a permanent incall location as I feel more comfortable with my own surroundings. I'm thinking there is a need in the Downtown area, although, I've read it's inconvenient for some gents because of parking etc. I think I can work out the parking with an apartment with permanent parking; however, I would love to hear your thoughts about locations. Thank you for your help & have a very nice week.
I have no experience downtown, I don't like driving down there so I don't provide down there. I do excellent in Oak Brook and O'Hare and visit both places often.
In my opinion, having a permanent location is something I would never do. Creating a pattern of behavior in one area is too risky for me.
Welcome to our part of the world!!
Becca
I hope you enjoy your Chicago experience. I will assume this is where you will host and not necessarily where you will live so...
First, downtown Chicago proper...it can truly be a hassle. Yes, there is expensive garage parking, but since the city implemented it's new street meter structure, I have found street parking is easier than it used to be, even on the streets downtown. I am not a fan of parking my car on the street, but it is an option. Downtown is always congested and as we are now moving into the spring, its gonna be moreso. If you simply want to be near downtown, may I suggest the South Loop area. It has access to many of our highways and interstates and is less congested in general than downtown proper. There is also ample street parking.
As far as Oakbrook, O'Hare, or any of the northwest suburbs, any apartment/townhome complex is optimal in my opinion. First there is ample parking. Second, there tends to be constant foot traffic throughout the complex, so any visitor would blend into normal activity.
Good luck!
Because of the costs and parking issues in the city, I think you're better off in the Rosemont (O'Hare) area, followed closely by Oak Brook.
The cost to you for a nice place will undoubtably be less in the O'Hare area, plus you will meet a lot of men who come in to the area for the conventions, etc.
A place in Oak Brook will probably cost you more, but you'll meet the gentlemen from the southwest and west suburbs who don't want to drive into the city or up to O'Hare.
Welcome to the area, by the way.

Thanks to all for your input!!! I think I'm going to try all locations and see what works for me.
