Just go get a STD test in a few weeks and then 3 months later.

Here is a better option for you though....don't be a hobbyist.

Don't want to bring anything home that can't be explained. Hardly any skin to skin contact was made. Ugh I'm so guilt ridden. Please anyone help....

Just go to a clinic n ask to be treated w a round of antibiotics just in case and get tested. At least you went for it but its obviously not for everyone.

Just figured I would lay it out for you.

If all was covered as you say that in theory basically rules out the bacterial infections (gonorrhea, chlamydia, etc)
as well as other things like hiv

The things you would have to be concerned about are the things spread by skin to skin contact where you had contact above the condom line such as
hsv1 and 2, syph and hpv.

if you have ever had a cold sore youre immune to hsv1 and cannot contract it at another site, syph is very VERY rare in the u.s and without obvious sores or lesions you have little to worry about
hsv2 chances are decreased by condom use but still possible.

hpv is a grey area.... many forms exist and pretty much anyone already sexually active already has 1 strain of it but few develop into serious issues. there is no test for men when it comes to hpv and it can lay dormant for years .fact of the matter is odds are good you and your significant other already have hpv and even if it showed up in your gf or wifes pap they really dont know how or when it was contracted.

just be on the lookout in the next week or 2 for any sores or discharge and to better help with guilt or anxiety get tested.   bacterial infections can be tested about 2-3 days post exposure and hiv at the 3 month mark but if what you said holds true that you were covered you have little to be worried about.  Its also a good sign that the woman you were with used condoms for everything...its not a sign that she had something and was worried about giving it to you but instead knew she was clean and wanted to stay that way.

ive done a lot of research on std transmission to educate myself on the subject and to help myself avoid high risk activities.IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM does what im saying substitute for a check up from your doctor and if you are concerned you should still be tested not only to avoid passing anything but also to ease your mind. I just wanted to pass on the risk information.

many good articles and case evaluations can be found on medhelp.org

No problem

Ive been in your shoes.  Just let me say again that my post isnt a substitute for seeing a doctor its just basic knowledge.  Although your exposure was "low risk" it wasnt 0 risk.

you're the one that at the end has to decide if the risk is worth the reward and if the reward is worth the guilt anxiety you have now and most likely will have after future acts.

If you do decide to continue to hobby just think with your head a little bit and limit the risk to your favor.  Do people get hit by lightning? yes  but you can also limit your chances by not running around with a metal pipe in your hand.... same with this.....Do people get stds? yes but you can limit your chances by playing safe and choosing partners that dont practice risky behavior. By that I mean seeing a well respected provider who practices safely, gets tested regularly  and not going to some lab experiment in an alley.

Also please find credible sources for information... the internet is a great tool in a lot of ways but can also mess with your head big time.  For example....chlamydia.  Many sites and forums claim chlamydia can be passed by oral exposure but that simply doesnt hold water.  Chlamydia bacteria does not affect the throat. gonorrhea (rarely yes) but not chlamydia.  But on many sites they lump it in since people when given surveys cant pinpoint the exact moment of the exposure or lie and say yes I was protected for intercourse but not oral so the health center is kinda forced to lump it under the same umbrella when in fact according to many well respected doctors the infection cant be passed that way and cant survive in the throat. DISCLAIMER: im not saying oral sex is 100% safe but instead just showing an example of how facts can get blurred on the internet.  Those who doubt this instead of going off on me can simply go to medhelp.org and type in chlamydia from oral and see hundreds of posts by Doctors (not message board members) who specialize in std treatment who back up the chlamydia claim. They give detailed reasons based on medical journal research as well as common sense.

Little things like that happen all the time on the internet and can give someone with anxiety a higher sense of worry. do your research and know that even encouraging words cannot take the place of the feeling of relief you would get from seeing a test come back negative.
