Actually over the years I have known MANY providers who have certainly given discounts / free time ect. when they have had to cancel last minute. Without the patron asking for it.
But that is not the situation here - she totally ghosted.
Here is how we do things - if someone nc/ns we don't charge a 'didn't show up' fee, we simply ban the person. Easy Peasy. And I know it sucks when you are expecting to visit with a provider and she does that - I recommend that when that happens you do what we do, just scratch her off the list for future dates. Chicago is full of amazing providers so your spoiled with choice when finding a replacement - which I am so happy you did!
We don't charge cancellation fee's, but if someone is constantly cancelling we just ban them. But we don't have cancellation fee's for two reason's and the last one is why many providers should charge a cancellation fee and you should always pay it.
1. I am not going to chase somebody down for a cancellation fee. Some of our patrons when having to cancel last minute do offer to pay a fee as they know I give all of it to the provider. That's always very appreciated.
2. We have private spaces. Many providers have cancellation fee's because they have to secure an incall. When I see cancellation fee's on some ladies sites I know they are making sure that what money they lose on the hotel is covered. This is totally valid and smart.
It's not a 'my time is so valuable' ego thing, it's a 'I have to cover my cost' thing.
