Has anyone noticed that in the last few months we had numerous newbies (or new faces to Chicago) come on the board with mixed results?

Here is some helpful advice to make the best of you discussion board experience;

1) If you are a new hobbyist, spend some time on TER's "FAQ For Newbies" board.  This board is set up specially for newbies and the questions they may have.  Yes, there is a great deal of redundancy, but the Moderator and the hobbyists who help out on the board are very patient answering the same questions repeatedly.  Also become familiar with the "search posts" function and you can often find the answer to your question without reposting it.

2)  On the Newbie Board, there is an "Acronyms and Newbies" Manual.  The same information is on this board and is called the "Self-Help" Center.

3) Become familiar with the Board Posting Guidelines.  In particular, two no-nos are "schill posts" (which is when you start a complimentary post to a LOCAL lady) and posting ANY negative comments on a provider's ad.

4) Do some of your own legwork.  If you are looking for a provider with specific qualifications or in a certain area.  Otherwise you may get a response letting you know that "the search engine is your friend"

A) Search the review data base and plug in the specifications you prefer and you will get the names of providers who meet them.  If you have VIP, you can read their reviews.
B) Do a search on this discussion board.  If you are looking for a specific ethnicity or information about a specific lady, you may find the question has already been answered.
C) If you still need help, post an ISO post using your real screen name. Chicago hobbyists often respond via PM and they cannot be sent to an alias.
 
5) ISO Posts.  If you find an ad, on another site, and want info about the provider, first try looking on TER by her name, phone and contact info to see if she has reviews.  Also google her name, contact number and email.  If you cannot find what you are looking for, post an ISO for information about her and BE SURE TO post a link to her ad, and not just a link to the ad site.  In other words, no just a link to EROS or BP Chicago.

Remember when you were a kid and you went to a new school, or joined a new club?  You had to learn how to make friends.  If you barged in, too strong, people were leery you.  If you were an attention seeker, simply for attentions sake, you were ignored.  (On the General Board you might see a response go up about "not feeding the troll").  If you were a bully, someone quickly put you in your place.  The same "playground" rules apply here.

Many of the hobbyists on this board have been here for a long time and are happy to help you if you follow these rules of common sense.
