So I have a little bit of a rant here. I have been reading the reviews as of late and I have to say I'm finding the quality of the new bread of provider has gone way down and that we the ones paying for the service are taking it. Some of the things I have read and noticed are as follows:

1. not having a cover (are you kidding me?)
2. not having lube (if you the provider need it bing it )
3. clock watching  
4. answering the phone when in a meeting (I don't)
5. not turning the phone off when in a meeting  ( I do )
6. saying you will provide a specific service and then saying no you don't do that after we have paid and have no real recourse  
7. no seconds ????
8. not staying the whole hour I just paid for  
9. not letting me take a shower when I get there (if u wana be with my dirty ass so be it)
10. charging me to take a shower (WTF)

 
If you want to do this for a living you need to understand what is required otherwise don't do it  

I also have been going to Canada and Mexico where  it is legal and I have yet to run into anything remotely like this. Every one is happy to be doing the job and enjoys it.  

Now in the providers defense guys

1. Take a shower  
2. brush your teeth  
3. don't walk in smelling like a chimney
4. ask for what you want in advance  
5. if they say no then its fucking no don't ask again  
6 really you cant fuck without a condom (are u nuts)
7. treat them the way you want to be treated it goes a long way  

in conclusion  
I know you get what you pay for my only point is I remember this being so much more fun for everyone. Ladies if you going to do this then do it all the way and respect the men the spend there hard earned money on you. Men respect and treat the ladies the way you want to be treated. Well rip away I'm sure you will find something wrong with what I have to say

All good points, Don. You can learn a great deal by reading reviews, including the ladies' profiles. Check their web pages to see how they present themselves and to get a better idea what they look like. Take the time to read what they write. It will give you insight into their personalities, education and attention to detail.  
What does attention to detail have to do with things? It's a clue to the lady's personal hygene. If she skips things in her prsentation, she may also in her preparation.

Check her photos. Pay attention to both what is shown and what is hidden. That strategically placed arm may hide a flabby tummy. A pillow may hide other features you may not like in person.

I will certainly agree with you that all of us-companions and patrons alike-all deserved to be treated with genuine respect and compassion. I will also agree with you that knowing that, and treating it as part of your personal boundaries, is essential in ensuring you are treated in the way you deserve (and conversely, as Donblass1 suggested, observing the golden rule and being aware how you treat others will get you quite far in this venture).

Regarding your Walmart "advice" to companions, however, you really don't appear to have been around long enough in this little subculture to make those sorts of accusations. While I've long argued that some of the best success comes from a lady understanding her unique brand (which includes understanding her strengths, weaknesses, and everything in between), as well as her target audience and how to reach them, I also understand that "success" is a subjective thing, measured in utility-ie what items/subjects an individual places priorities on.

Walmart is a terrible creature on all manner of ethical and environmental and human rights issues. So yes, I don't shop there, you probably don't shop there, and there's a whole host of other people who don't shop there. However, that does not in any way stop Walmart from being one of the most frighteningly profitable businesses out there.

Some of those ladies out there have a "Walmart" business structure because aspects of their life requires that they place their definition of success on the profit alone. They may be caring for kids or ailing family members (some are even bearing the entire weight of medical bills), or sometimes they are caring for their own medical issues, or else in the middle of some form of higher education, or funding an outside project of love and passion that may inherently make little or no money itself. Being a companion appeals to many, many people in these and similar situations because of the flexibility of time it provides to attend to the real issue the companion is funding, and many of these ladies do not have a great deal of flexibility in turning down interested patrons.

I've met ladies who come from each one of these unique places and goals, as well as many more. At the end of the day, your call to action will hold a lot more weight if you have enough empathy and room for understanding of the real diversity of experiences and needs out there. No companion is "run of the mill" any more than any patron is "run of the mill." We do not need more soapbox "solutions" starting from idealized places; we need real dialogue how to achieve workable steps that takes into account both the personal situation and necessary needs of each unique companion.
