I'm really concerned about Us (Providers & Hobbyist) having a link to such a very worldwide social network (Facebook)......Being as thou we are private and discreet in the adult entertainment industry we are at risk of being exposed to the public................

Don't become a friend to TER on facebook.

I know you ladies are smart enough not to use your real names and do the best to keep the 2 lives separate.

These are some of the reason why I don't have a Facebook, twitter or any other social media account and never will

You can lock your account from day 1 and only allow people you know to follow you. Anyone you don't allow cannot read your posts/tweets. Having an unlocked account on Twitter is a different story and no safer than facebook.

With a locked account and a non-suggestive profile, Twitter is pretty safe.

I live in a small town that relies heavily on Facebook to promote social events and functions. I'm always so scared I'm going to accidentally hit the Facebook button and BAM! there it is SO I usually log out of Facebook completely before doing and "online shopping" if you will.

One thing you can do is create two users for your computer. It's really easy on a Mac:
Log out of your primary desktop user account (usually defaults to an admin account)
Once you've logged out you should see where you can create a new user.
Follow the steps as they prompt you and wa-lah! you've got a private, anonymous desktop to use.

I have different accounts because I do much design and web work for civilian businesses. I can't risk getting files crossed.

Good luck!!!

Cripes.

The only way I would "like" this on facebook is if i was retired and all my friends and family were dead.

Not that I am ashamed of what we do, but we all know what is and what is not socially "acceptable" in this day and age.

...every once in a while. I figure no one needs to know about silly little things I like along the way and I definitely don't want photos taken by civilian friends with a phone in a dark bar or club posted on my page. Those pics are always SO bad! lol!!!
