I've seen lots of guys who use aliases.  If the email and/or phone number match the same as his really really good references, then it's no problem.........  What's in a name really?  If his real name is Tom, but he goes by John when he hobbies, and all of his references know him as John, then what is the difference?

having someones name doesnt really do anything.  Its a common misconception that calling a guys work means he is ok.
it doesnt mean anything other than, he has a job.  

I check using references.  A new client tells me 2 girls he's seen, along with someone to spark her memory, ie, "I saw her in february and I was wearing a pink shirt and she spilled champagne on it, we had a good laugh over that"

I ask the young lady, "have you seen such and such man, he mentioned his pink shirt covered in champagne?"

"Why yes, hes a great guy!"

LE may be able to fake one reference, but its going to be hard for them to fake 2 at once.  I know 150 girls in Chicago, I'm very adept at checking references, I check every single reference, every single time.  

Its a painless, effective method of screening.  Calling someones work number does NOT mean a man is not LE.  Think about it, who can get a fake work number, complete with secretary and phone book listing?  LE...thats what they do.  They RELY on girls screening thru 'calling work numbers'  they LOVE that!  What they HATE is references.
