I've been into this hobby almost a year now.
I've seen mostly reputable providers, but I'd like
to put my mind at ease and get tested anyway.

I guess the obvious thing to do would be to talk
to my doctor. I'd like to keep that private.

So, where do my fellow hobbists go to get this done.
I'm thinking of a clinic that specilizes in this
sort of thing, but I've never done this before.

If I sound clueless it's because I am.

You want the test by mail and they will send you to one of their local Doctor's to draw blood.  They also test for chlamydia and gonorrhea at the same time.

It's always best to play safe!

I am sure there are local clinics to go get tested.  However, AIM (adult industry medical) does have draw stations all over the world.  That is who we use here in Los Angeles, just call them and ask for a draw station near you.

I highly recommend getting there at least 20 minutes before they open and waiting next to the door.  That way you can be one of the first and avoid waiting for hours (even first in line you are likely to wait 30min - 1hr).
