One of our own has become another victim of attack. This report by her sister has been posted on her Yahoo Group board:

Christy Anne again [Vanessa's Twin]. Thank you all for your well wishes and concerns.

I can tell you a bit about what happened but not all as I don't
want to hinder the police investigation.

The police arrived to her apt just as our mother did. The door had been forced open. Vanessa was found unconsious. They put the time of the assault somewhere around 6PM from neighbors reports. She had been visibly assaulted. She had been robbed. The paramedics came and they were able to wake her up a bit and took her to a nearby hospital. At the hospital they did a lot of exams and tests and stiched up the wounds. She will be released shortly. She will not be staying at her place for a while, she will be staying with me or other family and friends.

The police are not ruling anyone out as a suspect. I understand
from a few emails I got that some of you may be concerned with your own private life. I can understand that. I can tell you this that she did not keep records of clients that treated her well Only the ones that she thought may be dangerous to her or others. So if you were good to her you will not be discovered in any way, shape, or form.

The police have now finished their work at the crime scene.

I don't know how long she will be out of work. We are more
concerned with her mental state right now. I do not have access to her email so I am not sure if she is seeing anyone tomorrow, so if she is I am sorry but she obviously will not be around.
When I spoke with her at the hospital ER she was teary but pretty lucid considering.

Also a lot of you were wondering if it was a client. Right now I cannot confirm nor deny that. I am sorry I cannot give you anymore information.

Also you ar asking if it is related to the tragedy of Cheryl. I
also cannot confirm nor deny that either. Again, I am sorry.

I will keep her friend Lany updated as much as I can. You can also email me at any time. But i am not sure if you will get a quick response, so alow 24 hours please.

Thank you all again for your concern. I am sure when she sees how great friends you all are she will smile again.

We must all be strong right now. Since she will be out of work I will try to set up something for donations to help cover her bills since a few have asked about that as well.

It is so sad when a women who want to only give pleasure are subjected to such pain. Much love to all of you in Chicago. You need all the love you can get right now. Be safe.

This Is very sad!!!! I hope they catch this person. My thoughts go out to Vanessa, her family and the family of Cheryl, who was murdered last week.

They have arrested a suspect in Atlanta in the murder of Lundon.  Check discussion board for Atlanta.
