There are so many sources to verify the guys. There are many girls on this board and some gentlemen that can vouch that I am exceptional at digging out the dirt from a phone number or an email. I learned my detective work from being involved in the adoptee/first parent groups. I use this knowledge base to look up information when I do not feel comfortable with the guy. You do not need to subscribe to these services to look up a phone number.... all you need is the gents name, city and town....and sometimes just the name
Ah, the joys of the internet! I side stepped a bad connection when I put a guys cell phone into google and it came up that he was a fraud: he had a history of telling RE agents he had won the Ohio lottery and wasted their time looking at million dollar homes w/o ever pulling the trigger. And it also said he posted ads to hire girls as his 'assistant'. He was repeatedly calling and saying he wanted to book for the weekend in Vegas.
I know there are reverse phone look up services available but I have never used one. Does anyone have any experience with these? Your input would be appreciated. Damn, wish everyone just had RS2k!!
