I live in the Twin Cities, but frequently check the Chicago board. In my opinion the Chicago area offers more variety and quality range in providers.  I've wanted to meet Karla of Michelle's and recently saw she was returning next week.  Now I've always heard good things about Michelle's....however two days ago I filled out/sent their on-site appt. form, and yesterday I e-mailed them.  No response yet....is this normal?

Michelle's uses a variety of client verification services. If you're not a member of them, you're not likely to get an appt. In Chicago, the most popular verification firm is Room Service 2000. Once you join, you will have immediate access to a variety of providers. It's worth the effort to become a member.

I had the same experience as you. I made multiple calls to Michelle's asking for an appt. but never got a call back. Once I told them I was with RS2000, I got an immediate callback.

My experience with Michelle's is that it is better to call instead of using online reservation.  My recent appointment with them (Julie, excellent but now gone to Italy), I sent in the form, did not hear for 3 days, called the day of the appointment to confirm after hearing nothing, and finally got an immediate call back -- but Nick seemed not to be aware that I had used the online reservation, and it took him a while to locate it.  It was clear to me at least that he does not really utilize the online system that well but is great over the phone.
