Hey everyone, so im making plans on visiting Chicago for the first time and was wondering if you all can help me figure out good locations for my incalls that are easy to get to and safe from LE I usually get rental cars and do outcalls as well so if there are any areas that I probably should not travel to please let me know thanks.
The best places to be in the Chicagoland area are also the more regularly monitored areas.
What I like best about the Chicago area is it's vastness, diversity of resources, and all of the great gentlemen that make the hobby ooh soo worth it.
What I would recommend is to pick something close to the city.
I hope this helps and good luck in your travels!

You have to screen just as you would in any other location. I agree that O'Hare is a great area. It's easily accessible for a lot of areas. Downtown is a cluster-jam 24/7.
If you plan to go out and explore the city a bit on your own time, then downtown is probably better. The O'Hare area is less busy, so it's generally easier to get to for the guys. I personally don't mind either location, but O'Hare does take longer for me. That doesn't seem to be the case for most though.
As for outcalls, stick to the northside. I'd recommend you think twice if you want to go anywhere south or directly west of downtown.
pablorod, you may not have taken a drive through the area directly west of the city, the West Loop, lately, its changed a lot. Its one of the safest neighborhoods in the city! And I would imagine there are lots of hobbyists in that area, lots of money there.
That said, hotel choices are limited, I've only noticed one there, and Im pretty sure its not cheap. But Ive been there for conferences and its easy to walk right in and take an elevator up, the check-in is way to the left of the entrance.
But if you get outcalls to that area I wouldn't worry about it.....
I'm actually very familiar with the area as I drive it very often... I guess it wasn't a detailed enough response on my part. Once you get to the United Center... you should probably stop. The same can apply to the south loop as it's been renovated too. I probably wouldn't go past Cermak to visit someone (but of course there is Hyde Park as a big exception). It really is a hard question to answer without breaking down in way too much detail. I just threw out a general feeling. If someone unfamiliar with Chicago is doing outcalls, I wouldn't stray far west or south of downtown. There are exceptions and some may not be so bad depending on how comfortable you are in some areas... but without going into each specific address, there is no way to cover it all in a simple post.
I can definitely point out that west... say Pulaski and Jackson... is downright horrible. A gas station clerk was murdered there the other day. It's 10-15 minutes west of downtown. Same can be said of Englewood just west of Hyde Park. It's just too much to cover really.
If you read her original post you would have noticed that she said she was getting a rental car. My comment if you read it in context was directed at her cost of parking, not the people coming to see her. And to your point, how long has it been since parking either downtown or Rosemont was $10?
I always do well in the O'Hare area, there are plenty of nice places to stay and it's easy to get around. I've heard downtown is good however, I don't provide downtown.
