I know nothing about what is going on in Florida however, if there are lots of busts going on, people may be uncomfortable responding.

but keep in mind that certainly does not paint you in the light that you desire.  

Most people are more then willing to help out established posters, those with a proven track record.  You don't have any reviews or white lists and very little board history.  Add that to the fact you are coming in from Chicago, people are going to be leary because we are well known for having a strong LE presence.

If you want to get responses you really need to contribute reviews and become white listed.  Or rather then relying on others suggestions do an advanced search for a provider in that area adding what you would like specs wise and then check the reviews and her site to make sure she is what you want.

If you want help, you have to give a little too and without being established(reviews/whitelists) many won't even bother.

It's basically turning into nothing but an ad agency for the same providers day after day trying to drum up business, trying to capture a glimmering spotlight.  You can see it for yourself under top ten posters.  With that said, there is also no longer commraderie amongst us "troops".  As they say, "The times are a changin".

I posted a query on the FL board a few weeks ago...
Maybe not a 'ton' of responses, but I received both post responses and PMs...

I'm the Florida Mod...when I see ISO's from guys w/no reviews....

...no board presence, I usually dump  their posts, it's board clutter in my book. It bores me. No reviews means no info. Don't know if your a putz, time waister, or LE. Support TER w/your reviews & you'll get recommendations or PM's. Guys w/many & recent reviews get their ISO thread posted. Guys w/no reviews, I say let them do their owns search & due diligence.

BTW...I've been in the hobby for awhile, never did an ISO, it's just plane lazy IMHO. If I travel to another state, I do a search, read reviews, read the local board,  PM sum of the players & get advice. That's what VIP is for.

Feel free to post this on the Florida board, I'll dump it, & if your not already moderated...which you should be having/no reviews, I'll gladly moderate you until you post reviews.

Have to ditto the mod when he says if you show no reviews, i doubt that anyone is going to invest the time to help.  I have had the opportunity to post is a few cities when i have travelled and have been quite pleased with the feedback from both men and women.

I suspect if you....

had a board history and a few reviews under your belt you would have received plenty of help. It's been my experience that most hobbyist on TER are open to exchange info and be of help.  Note a key word here.." hobbyist".  There is a huge difference between contibuting hobbyist and members.  Hobbyist submit reviews and contribute to board dialog. Members pay a fee and read board banter and simply glean info that others voluntarily share.  Members have the ability to research [ plenty of reviews you could check out]. And actually have every right to post a "help me" inquiry.  But , to answer your question....no...you should not be pissed off that a board community that does not know you and whom you've not been of assistance did rush to assist you.
