On the sites where I advertise most, there are more ladies whose rates are between $300-400 than the over-$500-range providers you mention.  Perhaps you have more expensive tastes than you realize?  LOL.

I agree with you on a number of your points.  It used to be that a new provider would start out with hourly rates a bit below the average local market price, and if you watched her first few reviews pop up, and they were positive, you could find good value before they jacked up their rates.  Now it seems that not only has the average market price gone up from a couple years ago (by 30-50%), but new providers are greedily asking above that market price.  So much for finding value in new talent anymore.  With the way prices have increased I've gone from a kid in a candy store to just browsing the shelves.  There are a bunch of ladies I'd love to see, but just can't justify spending $$$$+/hour on them (I WOULD like to retire someday!).  Lately I've been seeing a couple UTR gals, Asian apartment girls and sensual massage providers, that all have very reasonable rates, and provide me with the satisfying experiences I seek.  Just like the providers adjust rates to accomodate their financial needs, I adjust who I see based on my financial situation and comfort.  Sure, it would be nice to be wealthy and not care about cost and value in the P4P world, but I, like probably the majority of the guys who see providers, work a regular job and have to budget my money in order to be able to afford it.  Unfortunately, what I can afford is becoming very limited as of late.

I agree with AJH, I know the average rates of both Chicago area and visiting providers have gone up in the last year. Heck, there is an outcall only provider I was going to see last week and did not after she raised her rate.  Like AJH, I do have an UTR provider and an Asian place I go to, and a few select FBSM providers where I do get more bang for the buck (pun intended!). We have two choices-less frequency with more quality, or equal frequency with less quality. I switch back and forth between the two.

As of the last 6 months our rates have increased from the standard 300 an hour to about 400 an hour for a number of reasons. The first of which is that I let the women I work with choose there own rates after explaining the effects of certain choices. For example, if you are not desperate it is better to have a higher rate, above 300 because this will keep volume down and increase the quality of clients. (most clients paying 400 plus are simply more informed and respect the provider in both the encounter and with time) While in General clients paying 300 or less seem to treat girls with far less respect and tend to drag out there time well beyond an hour.  This is my advice to new girls that work with me. I tend to also look for high quality girls, like Kelly who works with me now and Sierra who I used to work with that have other sources of income and can afford to be choosy.  

And choosy you should be as well! The old adage is never more true in this industry " the more you pay, the better the experience will be"  However, read reviews and only choose providers and agencies with good feedback and in most cases you will need to pay more then 300 for a quality experience that will keep you smiling though out the week.  It is better to have 2 great, memorable experiences a month over 4 experiences that left you feeling empty or cheated.

This is a luxury and, as with most luxuries , you get what you pay for.  With that said,
everyone's taste are different and the experience they are looking for is different.

I am not even sure how to start this because I find this post offensive and really, it doesn't even apply to me, because I have already priced most of you out.
First of all, these women/girls put themselves out there on display hoping to attract "gentlemen" who are interested in spending time with them... that takes humility!  How do you put a price on that?  
Seriously, this isn't a flea market, there isn't any negotiating and how dare you ask a provider for a service or price that hasn't already been "advertised".  This is a business and there are rules.  There is a lot of humility that goes into a provider subjecting herself to the many opinions of others.  May I remind you, it isn't you picture that is out there, we don't write reviews on your performance or appearance.  These girls subject themselves to so much already and then you ask them to negotiate and you don't understand why they would find that offensive!!??!!??!!  
This is a simple business, you go online you find a girl you can afford and you make an appointment.  
It really doesn't get any more simple than that.

I think interesting points have been made on both sides of this debate. I, too, have noticed an uptick in prices in the last year.  In some cases, providers I'd see frequently at 350-400 have moved to $500 per hour. Could I afford that? I could, but I'd rather just find another provider.  

I'm a free market guy, so I don't seek to complain or belittle providers at all. But I do wonder if they've seen business slip, or if there's an overwhelming array of guys lining up at $400 per hour. I'd love to hear feedback from providers on this.

A year or two ago, the only providers I'd see at the $400 price point and above were 9s and 10s (in my book, anyhow).

I wonder if there will be a snap back. I think there's great opportunity for young, hot providers to come in at $300 and find themselves with a full schedule. It seems like the pent up demand is lingering

Number two in America. You may not be made of money, but there are a bunch of hobbyists in this town who are. These providers charge these rates because evidently there's a demographic that is willing and able to pay.  

With that said, I appreciate the guys who save up for a few months just to see me as much as I appreciate the guys who cover the donation with the change that the maid finds in the lint trap. I have friends that I get so excited just thinking about, though only get to see them on occasions when finances allow. But my rates are my rates and this isn't a charity.

When you're addicted to something you find yourself spending more on it than you should or want to...

and think you want to see her on a regular basis, ask her if she will give you a reduced rate in exchange for you seeing her every 2 weeks or however often you decide on. I have done this before and it usually works well. Client wants to see me more often, but can't afford my rate everytime. So we agree on a discounted price, and have a standing appointment every week. Bonus points if you can come at a time that is usually not very busy, so she isn't missing a full priced appointment. every now and then you should tip her or bring her a small gift to show that you still appreciate that she is doing this for you.
