END OF MESSAGE

Check out the URL, it's https which means no more sending passwords over the insecure internet. The link between each of us and TER is now encrypted.

Mine is still http. When I do try to manually connect securely, I get a certificate warning, cert expired in May of 2007. Mods, do you know if the new site is supposed to be secure?

It wasn't doing that for me either. I went up and manually added the "s" to the http on the main page and Windows made me add a security exception for the page before it would display anything. Now it's displayed as https. I don't know if I like that there is a security exception for a specific URL in my web browser.

It says the security certificate is not valid or outdated.

The security exception message is standard for sites that offer https access but haven't done whatever needs to be done to certify the validity of the site. I doubt TER wants to officially register itself but at least we can use SSL for our own security. Remember, passwords typed on http sites (without the "s") can be intercepted and stolen. HTTPS encrypts all communication between your computer and TER so your password is secure and whatever you're typing can't be read by prying eyes.

I've been using https here for a long time. There's no security threat that I'm aware of and I feel safer knowing my typing is encrypted.

didn't know the internet had issues with it's confidence.  Do you mean an unsecured internet connection or website....Yeah, I know, no one likes a smart ass...most be the heat.
