At lease every other day there is a post about a man being riped off from a girl with an as on BP and I'm not saying that all girls on BP are rip offs but I feel if a guy can post on here complaining he was ripped off then he should have enough sense to do a search and check it out!

Yet there they are consistently post of being ripped off by girl on BP.
Why with all the knowledge availabele right here why do guys still put themselves in th eposition of being ripped off??

I know many are gong to say well they are thinking with the small head and therefore can't be responsible but geesh 300 to 400 you think you could find a reputable lady to give you the same feelings.

I just read 2 posts of being men ripped off by BP ads, one guy blames Chicago providers cause one canceled on his last minute appt the other was just plain dumb!
When you going to learn if you find yourself in a bad neighborhood that is bad enough why make it worse to take a shortcut and go through a dark alley?

They are probably not willing to spend the money for a non BP girl.

That's partly the reason.  Also, they are looking for a last minute appointment and are banking on the fact that the BP girl won't require much screening, if any.

Nothing wrong with looking for providers on BP.  But in order to be safe from ROBs, upsells, fake photos, LE, and pimp shakedowns it's imperative that you always cross-reference using other sources (Google, TER, Tineye phone search, etc.).  If no further info comes up on the provider or if any red flags are found, then one needs to move on, simple as that.  Even if a provider advertises on a "reputable" site, the same rules of research apply.

If we didn't have people buy the houses that speak to them and say "get out!" or go inside a room where they hear noises and screams, Nightmare on Elm Street, or Friday the 13th would never have been successful franchises.  The guy was simply following his training going thru the alley.

Guys like variety. Unfortunately, most of the variety on Eros and BP is B&S or worse. You can tell us time and again to stop thinking with our dicks but remember if we did that, we wouldn't be seeing ANY escorts, LOL.

Traci makes a good point. Variety is great but not at the risk of being ripped off, assaulted or busted. At least do SOME homework and verify the pics aren't stolen and the provider is real. TOFFTing these days is risky business guys.

Honestly,

For every skank on BP there is a haggler on the loose.  Since the internet has become so prevalent things have changed drastically, but hey we all have to adjust to the times right???? I advertise on BP and generate over 1/2 my clients..and honestly and long as you screen properly you will have no problems.  As vast has providing and hobbying has become we all have to be more cautious.  It cuts both ways.  Specific websites are dominant in different regions.  It's not fair to single out one particular website when every city is different and posseses a different level of clientele. I honestly understand...if there are consistant complaints being brought about than additional screening is inevitable.  Just as it should be handled accordingly from a provider's prospective.

Personally, I am tired of BP receiving such a bad rap...
Is it BP or is it the quality of  the majority of Hobbyists and Providers that

Regardless of how you advertise or hobby the same rules should
apply maybe more stringent depending upon the website you chose to

It amazes me that someone who is coming to Chicago, waits till they arrive to seek companionship.  Many of my clients who are travelling into Chicago on business, book their appointment with me in advance.  This gives me time to prescreen them and plan for our visit.

The other thing my father always said is "do your homework.".

For the visitor with the bad experience, I can't help but wonder:

1) Did you cross reference the backpage ad with TER to check for reviews?
2) Did you call any of the reputable agencies that post on this board (with good reputations) for a replacement provider?
3) Did you write a "rip-off" review of the lady from backpage who ran off with the cash to help out your fellow hobbyists?

I am sorry that the gents who had bad experiences and were ripped off from backpage ads had this happen.  But honestly, when you TOFTT you risk exactly what happened.  Both gentlemen need to write rip-off reviews to protect other hobbyists.  

And, for those gents who visit Chicago and ask for "last minute" appointments because of failure to plan, do not be surprised if you are unable to make a connection.  We do have other appointments, other obligations (family and friends) and often are out of the house and not sitting by the phone or pc, in stockings and garters, primped and ready to rush out to meet you.   We are more likely in jeans, or comfy pjs relaxing without any makeup and have our hair pulled back in a pony tail.

Of writing bad or negative reviews, do not be surprised if ladies decline to meet you.  Everyone has appointments that do not meet their expectations as its impossible to hit it off with everyone.  However, I am being honest and saying what others may be reluctant to say..

Realistically prebooking is a non-extistent concept. lol Not sure what planet you're living on, but I have been in Chicago consistently for over a year and the common hobbyist is typically MWC...let's just put the truth on the table.  Schedules are typically unpredictable and last minute as most white collar professionals lack the ability to plan ahead based on either career or personal affairs.  Honestly, cut the bullshit and get off your high horse.  I've been around for over a decade and honestly you're basing your statement on regulars you have encountered in the past or just blowing smoke to make yourself appear better than the rest of us.

I very rarely in this day n age find prebooking an option as clearly stated above.

In this day and age where we have many tools available, I don't have a clue why anyone would TOFTT. Generally speaking, i don't have the $'s to take chances. However, except for Avery's flame job, I agree with her that each of the major "malls" are viewed differently around the country. In PHX and Dallas, I find BP to be very helpful, whereas Cityvibe works better around SF. Even Eros can be useful in some parts of the country. Of course a little homework goes a long way.

In any case, being ripped off sucks. But in 15+ years of this hobby, I have fortunately never experienced that because I do my homework. So, if you get ripped off...sorry about that, but there is really very little excuse for it. We have TONS of very reputable, gorgeous, hot-to-trot ladies in Chicago with almost as many visiting. If your smart enough to cry on TER about it, your smart enough to not do it in the first place.

Prebooking is very much alive around here, especially with visitors, most of whom wouldn't even bother making the trip without it. Just because your experiences were different doesn't mean everyone else operates like that.

reading all the posts I have to admit and am sorry there are many places where BP does get more respect than her ein Chicago and many dislike BP because they allow inappropriate ads and stolen/fake photos.
if you're hateful and mean enough to buy a post just to say negative things true or untrue about other providers that is also allowed.
Though like Jimmy pointed out, in diferent cities BP has well reviewed reputable providers and is treated different but still the main key is research.

I would say that part of the excitement of hobbying is the excitement of meeting someone new. I know there are times I like the professional well reviewed lady. But, other times i am looking for the fairly new less jaded less practiced young lady and BP provided that if you know what to look for. I find that requesting an outcall near where they have an incall can provide a little protection. I usually wait in lobby and make sure there are not any others around before i meet the lady near my door.
