I don't have any personal experience with it since I've never stayed there, but it looks gorgeous.

You may get some good advice from the providers only board, too. Sometimes the hotels will have security that requires you to use a door key to operate the elevator.

A good option by Soldier Field is the McCormick Hyatt - easy to get to, park, safe, etc.  Also probably less pricey than some of the loop/Michigan Ave hotels.  As long as there isn't a huge conference when you are in town.

Added bonus, it's close to me :)

Split your time between O'Hare and city downtown. As far as the city goes, by the football stadium (Soldier Field) could mean different things to different people. There are a number of business hotels along Michigan Ave and there are a couple way east on Wacker drive. There are more parking options north of Roosevelt Road.

.....split your time in Downtown and O'hare .......  this is a big metro area.
Good alternatives that might work for you are the OakBrook/Lombard/Downer's Grove area  or Schaumburg.
