I'll be visiting Chicago later this year for a trade show, and I'd like to try to squeeze in two dates, if my heart and my hips will take it. The show will be at McCormick Place. Would I do better to stay downtown, or maybe near O'Hare, or other areas? I usually will ask for incall, so a nice hotel is what I'll be looking for, but I'm not a $300 per night kind of guy.
Just areas, no hotel names necessary. Thanks in advance.
Stay downtown. O'Hare would make a long commute to McCormick and you have just as many, if not more, ladies to pick from downtown.
If the trade show is a big one and/or in the summer months, best to book your hotel ASAP to try and get a good rate. They'll be jacking the rates up pretty soon (if not already) for the summer season.
Suggest you book a room at the Essex House, nice clean hotel next to the Hilton. About two days before you leave, do Price Line as hotels will have cancellations and will want to fill their rooms. You generally can get good deals. Also, if you are over a weekend, the hotels may have weekend specials due to cancellations.
There are some decent places on S. Michigan and all over the loop that will be convenient to MP and your meetings. Try Hotwire and Hotels.com. Start with 4 star hotels... if you are lucky, you should find a 2 star price.
