Today I had to cancel an appointment with a provider I have seen several times before. I do like to set appointments in advance so this cancellation was one week in advance. I did get a response back from the provider asking for a $150 cancellation fee or Pre-Pay (400/1,5h) our next meeting so she wouldn't take a financial hit.  
Is this reasonable? I mean I cancelled well ahead of time I think,  
one small side note: she cancelled our meeting two weeks ago last minute., while I had taken time off of work without asking her for anything.
I would love to hear other opinions since I am confused with this.

Most High End Girls do have a Cancellation Fee they charge. From the prices you're posting it does sound like this Escort is a High End Escort. I would think that if you Cancelled an Appintment well in advance, in your case one week ahead of time, there shouldn't be any Cancellation Fee you should have to pay her.  

So she gets to cancel last minute after you've taken time off work but she demands payment for a full week's notice? Um no, she's wrong. If it was the day before, then maybe you should give her something since she probably wouldn't have time to book another appointment. But a week ahead of time is complete nonsense. Sorry ladies.

She's way off base with this - she cancelled on you last minute, and now this.  Week's notice is more than enough.  A few days is enough.  Move on.

If I cancelled a week ahead of time I would not expect to pay a cancellation fee and I can't imagine there are many ladies here that would expect one. I think that's fairly courteous

I would find someone else. You cancelled in more than enough time. She has a week to get more appointments which I'm sure she already has a few lined up. And the fact that you are a repeat client should hold enough weight for you to cancel a whole week early. Even if you cancelled 2 - 3 days early is good courtesy.
She obviously has no regard for you since she cancelled last minute while you took time off from work. I'm sure she didnt offer you a discount for her last minute cancellation.

This is a P4P industry with no set rules, but plenty of options. If for some reason it's important for you to see this woman again try to work it out with her personally. Either you'll want to abide by her rules or you won't. You're not going to figure that out on a discussion board. Otherwise chose another provider. How hard is that?

I'll be honest.  If someone canceled on me with a week's notice, I'd have no problem with it.  Things happen, and a week is a lot of notice to rebook that time.  

Yes, some high end ladies do charge a cancellation fee, though that is typically difficult to enforce. There isn't exactly a written contract. A week's time is more than ample for notification of a cancellation. If it was last minute and she was out the cost of the hotel, then I could understand. However, in this case, I believe that charging a cancellation fee is unreasonable.

Thanks everybody for your opinions, I pretty much had the same thoughts about this, but wanted to double check this. It isn't a topic I can talk about it here at home.  
Just to clarify she doesn't have any cancellation policy's on her website or did she ever mention them to me.
I prefer not to mention her name here since I have to much respect for her and we really had some amazing times

A weeks notice is more than enough time to get another client to fill the time. If it's the day before or even worse, on the day I get mighty fed up but I don't charge a cancellation fee. I prefer to keep things cordial for a future booking, and if the client is a new and annoying time waster then you won't get your cancellation fee out of him anyway

I understand all about cancellations. I do not charge a cancellation fee but I feel like I will give the person one more shot if they give me enough notice. If it is the same day within hours or a no show then I do not give them another chance and they are on my bad list and I choose not to give them another shot. I know that might sound harsh but it is difficult to book appointments that quickly. If a client gives me a week, well that is no problem and I have rescheduled before. Sometimes we have things that come up as well. We are all human and are here to have fun! That is why I do not charge for cancellations. I just weed through the bad ones and only have fun with the good ones!!! Just my two cents!
