Set up an appt. weeks ago, got a text last night confirming and literally pulling in front of the hotel when I get a text to cancel. Now to be fair, she did say in her text that she sent me an email, but I checked it before I got in the car and nothing. She had not checked into the hotel last night which I would have expected, when she emailed me last night and said she was in town. Last time for this provider from Atlanta.
Plenty of other Reliable Providers. Just keep looking and you'll find one. But don't call this one again. Even if she says she'll make it up to you, don't call her.
Just like I wouldn't want someone to cancel on me last minutes, we shouldn't either. Yes, some things can't be avoided, but most of the time, notice is possible. Since I've gone solo, I have made a consistent effort to be punctual.
Sorry that happened to ya! Did you at least have a "backup" As they say?

She said she sat in the lobby for two and a half hours waiting to check in. The hotel overbooked and she had to wait for a room. Did you want the appointment in the bathroom near the hotel bar? Many things can happen when people travel. My suggestion is not to book right when a provider is supposed to arrive. More likely that she may incur some type of issue that is not in her control that puts a strain on the time.
What I expect is, when I make a 12:30PM appointment, the provider to already be checked in to the hotel that has a 3:00PM check-in, per industry standard.
Intetesting that you are using an alias. Haha. She told me about it when I saw her last night.
Regarding the op's next post. I dont have time to do this here and via pm so I chose here. If u know the industry standRd is 3 pm why would u ask for an appointment that is earlier? I have seen others who have had problems with trying to check in early. I did not ask her if she was promised by hotel. U can ask that yourself. But I do believe that she had to wait. I dont white knight. Simply stating that travel and check in problems happen. If she cash and dashed u or provided poor service or there was an issue more in her control I would see your point. My suggestion would be to see one of the many outstanding local providers we have hete. They have more control over this type of situation and would probably have less chance of disappointment. Good luck.
