What's the nicest thing you've done for a provider?

Years ago, a provider who has since retired, used to hang out with me quite a bit off the clock. I consider that to be the nicest thing a provider has done for me, just being a friend. The nicest thing I ever did for a provider was a good bit of plumbing work for virtually nothing in return. My buddy dated this provider and I didn't want him worrying about who might be let into her house to do the work. Some weirdo had caused her trouble in the past.

My first condo closing got delayed a couple weeks and then a couple more weeks.  I was about to move my little guy and I over to the Park Hyatt when she thought the idea was ridiculous and had plenty of space.  I felt so intrusive especially with a baby Maltese running around but she didn't care.  Professionally it worked out we sure had enough time for doubles : )
So grateful!

I would say that as well. In the case of the provider I'm thinking of, we didn't hang out so much off the clock, but we emailed quite a lot and talked on the phone occasionally. She was very supportive and encouraging and helped me get through some rough times, along with exchanging a lot of jokes, peculiar information, and observations on life. I guess I'd say that doing the same for her would be in turn the nicest thing I've ever done for a provider.

The free sessions for every birthday were also nice!

her resume.   She was in between positions for her career at the time.   I gave her resume and cover letter a complete makeover along with some other useful ideas that was incorporated in her application package.    In the very next position she applied for, the company offered her a better position than she was interviewing for with a lot more money than she was anticipating.   She is doing very well in her role at the same company.   She retired from the hobby in the last year..... SORRY GUYS!    Never received anything in return or bartered any service....happy that she is doing well and moved on from this industry!   I have also helped a couple other ladies with their resumes as well.

I've done some home repair work, helped diagnose a water pump issue in a car before it broke and stranded her,  tried to listen and just be a regular person and let her be one too. Once I helped someone track down a nut who was making endless anonymous harassing calls and sending e-mails.

My current favorite woman once surprised me with birthday cupcakes.  Another wonderful woman spent OTC time with me at dinner after a session, and upon taking her back to her hotel room, wanted to have another round, no charge.  But my favorite gift from a woman is her friendship and her trust.  A few have allowed me into their personal lives, with the trust and understanding that goes with that.  I know about their BF problems, financial issues, and just general life. For me, thats the best gift of all...her trust.

I've lent a provider money on multiple occasions, and always paid back in full. I also brought her breakfast in bed and gone shopping for her when she was sick with the flu at a hotel incall. I've been a taxi service when her car has broken down and she needed to get home from an appointment.  I've also taken photos of a few (I'm an advanced amateur photographer) for use on their web sites.

Cancel WITH NOTICE! Just kidding.  So many providers have extended extra kindness to me that I would not know where to start.
For them: Treat them with respect they deserve without being condescending.  Also with one's permission,  I visited her when she was having surgery and put a Benjamin in the get well note.  To this day ,i do not know if it was the visit or the money, but we are life long friends.

And - I have helped with a Master's Degree thesis, some auto repair work, loaned money, and been a friend when someone really needed a friend.
Recently talked someone "off the ledge" so to speak.

She even offered to pay for the room at The Standard in NYC.  Like Bill Murray said in Groundhog Day, "Why can't I live THAT day over and over?"

loving people who have stuck around for a long time and genuinely enjoyed me for who I was then, and who I am now without judgment.

It's amazing when we can just "be" as opposed to feeling the need to constantly "prove" ourselves. (Assuming we know we are being decent & respectful ourselves.)

Doesn't matter what someone "gives" us on either end if they don't accept us for who we are. In person, that is extremely important to me.

Definitely enjoy those types of people in my life, both providers and clients. And in real life. :)

Saw she was sick and really needed sleep so I paid for time, ran out and got some soup, paid her not to work the rest of night so she could sleep in and get rid of her cold.

She went with me to my family Thanksgiving Dinner last year. And even brought her five year old son along. She was awesome at the party. She left a great impression on my family. She didn't request a donation for going with me. She stayed at the party for well over four hours. It was the best Thanksgiving Dinner Party I ever went to.

For my Birthday this year she went to the Sybaris with me. She never discussed a donation. I did pay her to go with me. But she felt that I didn't have to pay her since it was my Birthday. This girl gets more Awesome every time I see her.

She went to dinner with me yesterday night. Brought her son along. Had a great time. This was a planned dinner. No playtime. It's more fun just being with her than playing at this point.

Well the nicest thing I'll disclose is hanging off the clock. Following up and forming genuine friendships. I had a client who became my best friend. These things happen when client and providor treat each other right.

I love to read that some gents go above and beyond to please a lady. Unfortunately I have not found such a nice client in years, seems like everyone wants to be so selfish nowadays and yes it goes both ways. I am never selfish, ever. Maybe I need to come back to visit Chicago!

I had a Provider ask me if I would go to a baseball game with her. Sure I'm a fan and we had a great time talking and laughing and they won that night. She had a season ticket package and I was invited again but I couldn't make it. Another Provider that was my favorite made me home made apple pie for my birthday. One of the best pies ever.

Had an Awesome time with her and her son. After dinner we went to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Then spent two hours at a local park. We talked while her son played in the playground. She invited me to go with her to her local July 4th fireworks show. Forget Navy Pier this year. I'm going with her.
