Let me use my clairvoyant powers to conduct a likely scenario.

My guess is you had individuals exchanging messages on the internet expressing a desire to exchange sex for money.  The women needed money for pharmaceuticals, and the men wanted an orgasm.

More than likely a religious conservative at a hotel was offended that such activity was going on so they contacted the local law enforcement that people trust to protect us.  The heroes in blue who if they happen to die on the job will have the most profound public funeral sprang into action.

These trusted armed men in blue risked life and limb and did a stakeout at a hotel. Doughnuts were consumed during the stakeout.  More than likely they identified the men who were assisting the women in getting money for pharmaceuticals as they left and accosted them as they left the trysts.  The upstanding citizens who left probably never watched the link below and didn't STFU when the police started questioning them.  In fact they admitted to various and sundry crimes.  The police then would have the woman's contact information and they contacted the woman and arrested her.

Now if the police were lucky they have found other women, threatened them with arrest and scored a freebie or two.
