I've been in the hobby about a year. I stick with known agencies and frequently reviewed (and invariably fantastic) providers. Since I started participating in Boards, I've heard a lot about busts, and accompanying warnings, suggested precautions, etc. Yet I haven't seen anything tying it all together. Is there something here on TER that I'm missing? I would think that if it was as simple as sticking with known agencies and providers, there would never be many fewer busts.
I agree with you if you stick with well reviewed providers the chances are very less for a Bust. I guess LE love to bust them but just dont know how to do it since they cannot pass thru their screening process..The name and pics I am seeing I have never heard about them before..
Agreed. It's all about screening. It's not just the providers screening you (although you should never see a provider who doesn't screen carefully.), but it's you doing your screening of the providers. Lots and lots of reviews are important. I've noticed ads for a few with one or two reviews, all recent and all from people who never post on the Board. I avoid them like the plague!
Look at who has reviewed the lady. There are many whom I trust, not just for the quality of their reviews but for their long term participation.
There are so many quality ladies and well known, respected agencies who participate on this Board that I stopped worrying long ago about the gorgeous potential bombshell that I may have missed.
And, as my lower-than-average number of reviews may demonstrate (you don't get credit for repeats), I've found a number of ladies that I'm happy seeing and I repeat with them. That's the greatest degree of safety I know.
I don't completely agree. I was busted last year as well as were 4 other customers visiting this girl: http://www.theeroticreview.com/reviews/show.asp?id=122900 As you can see she had lots of very good reviews. Do a search on this board with her name to find out what happened. Perhaps the risk is higher with providers with no reviews but many good reviews is in no way a guarantee of safety.
I fully agree with you on this that risk will always be their you never know the regular provider you are seeing for years just got busted few hours before your arrival and now cooperating with LE.. The provider will do everything to save herself or to get a good deal from LE and your safety will be the last thing on her mind ...
Thats the Risk comes with the Hobby.. Nothing is fool proof...
Screening is very important, but never feel too confident and let your guard down. Unfortunately, as long as the "hobby" is illegal in the USA, there's always going to be some degree of risk, no matter how well we screen or how well reviewed a provider may be.
Personally, I've always done what Perfesser stated in his post, except that I don't feel particularly comfortable using agencies.
the communication between the agency and the lady might not be secure enough and that is why I prefer to speak to the lady directly, in other words I prefer an independent lady. Also, something would not feel right if I do not hear the lady's voice prior to the meet. Just my two cents.
It's true that your bust happened by a provider that had reviews. But it is also apparent that she got busted by not doing a reference check. I also won't see anyone who does not check refs. And it is still always a risk.
I have also started looking over the room before I say anything when entering. I ask to use the bathroom and look behind the shower curtain to make sure there is no one hiding there.
It's well worth an arrangement close to Ohare or downtown where I may observe what is going on before my date is to arrive.I check the activities in the parking lot.We all know what unmarked cop cars look like. Then as to whats going on in the hallways and lobby. Then if it doesnt look right I may suggest to see who is driving when she arrives.I do the same when I see someone from Michelles in Chicago its generally the same hotel,or perfect 10,or Miami companions,.As the Prefesser says if you find a gem repeat it gets better and better.
