Blackberry Question

Don't get me wrong, I love my blackberry.  I have had a series of them since the first one came out and often access the TER boards using one.

Now, here is the problem...

I can post on the boards or initiate a PM from a post and send it without a hitch.  What I cannot do is respond to a PM from it.  I click on the PM, type my response, then am stuck and cannot find nor access the "send" link.I can only access the text box or message header.

I am not sure why this happens.  Does anyone:

A) else have this problem,
B) know how to get around it

I use my BB almost anytime when I don't have an access to a computer. I said in one of my posts, I use the BB browser and it is set to internet page viewing instead of mobile page. In order to be able to respond to PMs, you will need to upgrade the software to a newer version.
Hope this helps.

now I have an iphone.... no comparison!  What a difference.  When your contract is up....strongly consider an iphone!

Hi Sinful,

I was referring to the BB browser it self not TER. The browser has an option where you can view every page your going to as an internet page or mobile page. Also, not sure if you have this but I would recommend downloading Opera mini browser.

As was previously mentioned in this thread, there are settings in your BB browser that you set that will determine how a web site will recognize your device. As IE, firefox, mobile or non mobile, etc..  Verify that it is set to IE and non mobile.

Or, what every BB user should do is use Opera mini (although I think I remember Opera Mini and TER didn't play nice together.)

I was a devout BB user for years, but the BB browser is so pathetic that it made me start to look at other devices and I finally switched to an iPhone. The iPhone browser makes you realize how truly sucky BB's is.

My BB curve works best w/ TER with Opera Mini as well. Here is the link:

http://www.opera.com/mini/

Always worked for me.  The Browsers on the BB Storm, Bold, Tour are better but still greatly lag the iPhone.

BB bought out a company who specializes in mobile browsers and the rumour is by summer, BB browser will be much better (more iPhone like)

I have to use a BB for work but I use an iphone for myself. I hate the BB. Make the switch.

I can't think of any other workarounds, other than what some of the other posters have mentioned.  I use a BB for work, since it's a very good voice/email phone compared to their competitors.

For personal use, I also have an iPhone 3GS that is amazing! If I need to access the web, I use my iPhone ...LOL.  IMHO, it has the best web browser of any smartphone currently on the market, but unfortunately it still doesn't support "Flash".  However, I have no problems accessing TER or receiving/sending/relying to PMs.  The only thing bad about the iPhone is that AT&T is the sole provider.

Hello All

Thank you Sin for bring this up for discussion.  I do have this same issue and I will be doing downloads to work with my Pearl.

I am thinking that an I-phone would be a better option but I can't wear it around my neck.  I would forget it if I had it elsewhere.

Thank you "Geeks" for us current in our technology!!

See ya all soon

Wait for Verizon availability which will be available soon. The commercials don't lie: Verizon has better coverage than AT&T.

unfortunately I am stuck with my blackberry.  It is a pain, but I don't want to switch phones at this point.  I also have a personal PDA that I can use to respond to e-mails on TER.  I just figured it out.  So, I look on my blackberry, if its a PM that requires response, I go to my other PDA and send a response.  A bit of a pain... but I don't get that many PMs... lol
