I was laid off at the end of May. Needless to say, this has put a certain aspect of my social life on hold.

Not exactly the same situation since I run a business. However, if my cash flow is far below expectation, I don't hobby. If a little less than expected, I go to the good ones on BP or asian apartment girls.  

The hobby is like retirement always keep a fund for a few visits a month. I would not use BP ever, the ladies on TER is where it at. Good luck with job hunting the market is way better than in the past few years.

On BP. You just need to know how to look. It's a lot more work but have find many gems.  

Inexperienced or lazy hobbyists should not be using BP.  It involves a ton of research and common sense.  If a guy is expecting GFE, it is best to look elsewhere.  A key point that asiantantric made that is true in any scenario, read the reviewers profile.  Some guys give out high scores to everyone [inflation of scores] and some reviews are fake.

My very first experience around 10 years ago was with someone from Craigslist, which was pretty much the BP of the day. There are legit people on BP, but I'm far more worried about LE there than scams because I've been around long enough to spot the scams. I guess this is the point where I would move to the FBSM side of things, but prices across the board are just too high for me to justify when I'm worried about finding a job. Fortunately pornhub and hy hand are free haha.

And some guys just see top quality ladies hence their higher scores.
