R2K, provider reference question

If a provider claims to be using R2K as a verification process, with no ad on the R2K page, is there a way to verify that she is actually using the service? Can we verify that she is registered also?

I contacted an individual, asked her point blank what her verification process was, was told R2K, but have never seen an ad up for her.

Just curious.

the bottom of the page when you scroll down.  She could be getting a friend to verify for her but then your info is being relayed to another party and do you really want that?

Send an e-mail to RS2K.  Include a link of the lady/agency in question.  They will reply and let you know if they are registered with RS2K.

[email protected] is the e-mail I use to inquire about RS2K.

The same thing should be done if a lady/agency says they are registered with P411 and you don't see them on the site.  Obviously, you would contact Gina of P411 for that.

Guys should always be on alert and verify.  Otherwise, it could be LE or a shady pimp at the door.

Thank you both. The photos do not match anything on there and I have a sneaky feeling about her. Thanks for the information. I will email and see if she is the direct link. Otherwise, I believe something is peculiar.

I'll explain this the proper way.

If you do not have a provider ad, you are paying for their verification services only. With this enrollment, you get a thumbnail at the very bottom if you scroll past all the ads (they all look the same, they're hearts). If you DON'T see one of those general thumbnails saying rs2k providers, then yes, she could be getting someone else to verify you. The question should not be if they are going thru a middle man what are they going to do with your info, the REAL concern is, is the person you're trying to schedule an appointment safe to see. Its not worth the risk if they're not on the site physically.

Also, some providers are so risky to just take you on your word. At any rate, any provider listed on their site has been approved and had to provide references of her own to even have an ad there or use their verification services. (Like me) so if you don't see an ad, or general thumbnail then don't bother using her if you don't feel comfortable. With so many verified ladies, and being a RS2K member, it seems to be defeating the purpose and not being safe to just see anybody. They have plenty of girls to choose from. But, if you're feeling like a gamble, that's up to you! : )

After a couple of emails back and forth with R2K, it was determined this provider is not verified and is claiming to be using R2K without actually doing to process.

Be careful. Better to verify each other if there is any doubt or question.

Thanks for all the help and by possibly averting a disaster!

Who is said provider?  Did you ask her if she was going to directly verify you or use a friend to do it?

I had a similar situation about a year ago.  Provider asked for RS2K info in order to verify me.  She gave me the green light, but when I showed up for the appointment she admitted that she wasn't able to contact RS because they were having problems with their website.  The appointment went just fine, but afterwards I was curious and so contacted Kathy to find out if the provider was a RS member.  She was not a current member.  I'm not sure what her intent was, but it definitely made me scratch my head.  Now when a provider asks for my RS2K info, if she's not well known or someone I recognize from TER, I will check that she actually is a member before submitting.  This is something that should be part of the Chicago Newbie tutorial.  Sinthia?
