I called the girl on the ad just to get her take on this - Why not. (I called the 415 area code number on her ad). A girl did pick up, and she did identify herself as Courtney. I explained there was a thread on TER about her pimp beating the crap out of some guy, said she was aware of it.
She said that she did not take that call, another girl went. Said she (Courtney) does not use a driver or have a pimp. Said she was having people look into this and would be "going after" the OP. I did not ask her what "going after" specifically would entail, but as it was phrased as I took it to mean "legally" going after. There was no indication of any violent intent.
She did seem somewhat, but not terribly concerned that prospective clients may see this, but was hoping few had. I let her know this was now being broadcast on 3 different review sites, so that ship has sailed, lots of folks may see this, so, she might want to post a rebuttal. She said that was in the process.
I was tempted to ask why another girl took "her" call, among other questions, but decided not to. My point in calling was simply to let her know about the thread and see if she was going to refute it. Guess we will see if she puts any post up.
and I'm not saying I believe a word she said either (other than that she was well aware of the thread). Just curious since she had not posted a reply. It's like driving by a car wreck, and you wonder "how the hell did they managed to get that car upside down on top of the Burger King and still walk away ?"
It just seemed strange with all the reply posts and views on that thread that no one had asked what this girl had to say about it. I don't doubt the guy got beat up, I justed wanted to hear her side.
As for butting into his business, as another member flamed me on, well, if you don't want people to know, maybe you shouldn't a bunch of posts on the "interwebs" and ask for advice. Now while I am glad that he did warn us about this girl, don't be surprised if someone asks her for her side of the story.

Just curious now..when you supposedly called this gal, did she first screen you? So I now assume she has all YOUR personal info as well! If not, why in the hell would she even think of chatting with some John asking these types of questions.

I don't know if you've been at this a year or 30 years. But I would assume closer to the year. If you're going to have a successful (by a very general definition) hobby career, you may want to learn that things you hear best be determined to NOT be the truth. At least until you have built up a significant relationship with a hobbyist or provider. And in this case you don't know either party one iota.
I will give you this much, yeah, I do like the drama of this particular thread. As I said, it's like a watching a wreck, except in this case might be a wreck on a NASCAR race on TV.
As for exp., dude, do you think membership in TER is the only worldly experience for this hobby ? No one participates in the hobby other than TER members ? I call myself a newbie in a couple of the threads only as a newbie to TER. I dated a "Professional" for several as FWB, not as a paying client. Learned a good deal about the hobby through her.
