I personally don't consider it NW suburbs. It's a little too far out from Chicago.  For me Rosemont is generally my  cutoff for what I consider NW. I  I think that there are lots of women out there though who live in that region and probably consider it to Be in said region.

Schaumburg though is a very nice NW burb of Chicago with lots of eateries, a very large mall as well as many other types of distraction.
