Are there any times of the year or even month where you don't partake in the hobby because of lack of funds or any other reason?

In the winter time I tend to book at the last minute because of weather...in March I had 4 cancel so I didn't get much...in April I have 9 on my list of candidates...if they all show up I'll have to choose wisely...I like to have 4 to 7 days between sessions

I don't partake in the hobby the past week of every month because of bills.  I usually partake once a month during the second week of the month

I saw the original headline and had a totally different idea of where this was heading.

so I tend to have more discretionary funds in Spring and Fall, and less in summer and winter. This affects how often I see someone and what I am willing to spend during leaner months. Time of the month is irrelevant to me; more important is how busy I am with work and the free time I can make available.
