I was a newbie two months ago, and all the things I did not know!! Okay, those who have followed my posts will probably tell you I still do not know s**t, and I am not going to disagree. But I do have a few visits under my belt, as it were.
First, this post really should have been to the FAQ for Newbies board, as noted. Reading through the threads there is very helpful and will answer most questions. Trust those posts and follow the advice to start, because you will not know what you do not know, and the little head will want to do all the thinking.
Yes, being pre-screened by Room Service 2000, and/or Preferred 411 is very, very useful. I am not sure how one gets started, safely, without that. P411 is a little better for me, because it offers more information, is more accepted outside Chicago, let's you accumulate provider okays (references, in effect) and I understand does some screening of providers as well as us hobbyists, but it also costs more. As you will read on the Newbie board, look for someone with a fair number of reviews over a period of time and check that those reviews come from reviewers who have a decent track record as well. That is only important if you want to be sure you do not get busted.
No matter how you choose to go, ask for references as they allow you to expand your options.
You will see that some ladies make comments like "Newbie friendly" or list a minimum number of references you need. To start you may find yourself limited to newbie-friendly ladies (that does not mean they will be gentle and friendly to start, though that is probably the case, it just means they will meet with someone who has no references). Not to worry, there are more than enough of them to choose from and many are quite delightful, I hear. I also know that for a couple.
I started without VIP status until I could get it free by submitting two reviews and was quite satisfied with my first couple of visits. The public part of the reviews, plus the information on the provider profile and provider web sites were more than enough for me to get an idea of who I wanted to see. It is important for you to figure out what you want from a visit. I have found there is a sweet spot in the 28-35 year old range - ladies who are comfortable with, and good at, what they are doing, have a system and are easy to coordinate with if you follow it, and are just lovely and delectable. Younger ladies are lovely, too, but often a little less organized and settled, so you have to do more of the work. On the other hand, they may bring a lot more energy to your meeting, or a certain fresh, innocence some love. And there are definitely some enchanting older women out there, too (don't want to offend anyone, it seems) - I am pretty sure some of the 28-35 year olds I like may be older, but I prefer to believe everything I am told unless it is obviously untrue. And if you use the reviews, you will get what you are promised.
Be sure to set up a private, separate email account for this. Some here also think you should have a separate cell phone, preferably disposable. There are pros and cons to that, but depending on your personal situation (say if calls and text messages on your normal phone are not really confidential either because someone has access to the phone, or the phone bill - then you need a separate phone), that may or may not be necessary. Assume you are being routinely checked out, and there are times when it works to your advantage for that to be easy - if you are completely anonymous, providers may not want to see you. Do not assume that who you are is a secret, so if that is a big problem this might not be something you want to do. On the other hand, that works both ways - most people here want this all to remain quiet and between us. I have heard stories of that not being the case, but they seem to be pretty unusual.
And then there will be that first meeting, when a beautiful woman in a sexy outfit appears from behind a door, welcomes you into her boudoir and, as they say in the reviews, the fun begins. Ah, sweet fantasy. that makes all the details and the various risks more than worth it.
