I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Signal app for texting.   It is supposed to be secure texting - no mobile provider or G**gle, etc reading your texts..

Its never too early to embarrass yourself.  Kidding!

I am confused.     I am just asking if anyone is/has used the app and any pro/con information.

I use Signal and am happy with it. The app delivers on the promise of full end-to-end encryption and has the functionality that I like - timed expiration, encrypted backups, etc. Whatsapp uses similar tech but allows its users to save/report messages to its admins. The only down side is that Signal no longer supports SMS, so both parties HAVE to use Signal.
