Well Ive been out of the game for awhile but saw someone I wanted to see and (against my better judgment) I prepaid reputable provider recently.  The first time she said she messed up her dates and had to rebook for the following week….i said fine.  Then I never heard from her and when I reached out after our second scheduled date she gave a reason of an "emergency".  I said fine again as emergencies happen and just asked to let me know when id get the refund and wished her well.  She was very responsive and said no problem (or her assistant did) and I was told in a week or two Id get my funds.  After two weeks passed I reached out again and now I can't even get a response.  I prepaid thru paypal and was wondering if anyone has suggestions.  I assume I'm screwed but thought Id ask the board.  I of course want my money but also would like people to be aware of the dealings with this individual but I also know certain rules apply when referencing providers.  Thanks for any info!

1) Never pre-pay.  You can contact Paypal and dispute the charge/payment [not sure since I never prepay].  
2) Simply post who the provider is or tell folks who it is via a PM.

but if you used a green dot moneypak card (which would be the smarter thing to do on both the provider's side and the client's side), you can't get that money back.

Ya know it's incidents like this that providers whom actually go through with dates can't get a F-ing DEPOSITS... Blast the cunty out!!! I'm so sick of dishonest providers screwing over clients which makes the providers whom actually are honest, who's making something ourselves through this HOBBY lifestyle HARD!!!   It's NOT F-ing rocket science... Consider the fact that she may have other male names going through her account.
If this is a regular occurrence on her part, and she has other John's complaining... they may see a pattern that will cause them to shut down your account (and hers) for fraudulent bank transfers. They really don't have to explain themselves either.

Thanks everyone for your great advice!  Really appreciate it  I'm going to email ter to confirm options. Rather get it right first time around. I also contacted PayPal and shall see what happens. You right, most people in this industry are fantastic so it just sucks when these few assholes take  front stage. Either way, lesson learned!

I agree about emptying your Paypal account fast. If they have the slightest inkling of what's going on, they'll shut your account down as well. There is no negotiating with Paypal.
