4. Torrin Polk, University of Houston receiver, on his coach, John Jenkins: "He treats us like men. He lets us wear earrings.."

5. Football commentator and former player Joe Theismann: "Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein."

6. Senior basketball player at the University of Pittsburgh : "I'm going to graduate on time, no matter how long it takes." (Now that is beautiful)

7. Bill Peterson, a Florida State football coach: "You guys line up alphabetically by height.." And, "You guys pair up in groups of three, and then line up in a circle."

8. Boxing promoter Dan Duva on Mike Tyson going to prison: "Why would anyone expect him to come out smarter? He went to prison for three years, not Princeton."

"That is what they get for building a park on the ocean." --OIl Can Boyd, after a 1986 Red Sox-Indians game at Cleveland Municipal Stadium (on the shore of Lake Erie) was postponed due to fog.

Don't forget Ken "Hawk" Harrelson, the White Sox announcer, for his "It's ova" and "He gone" as a good example for our kids.

......as told to Roger Kahn...

"Pick her up at 7 pm. Now five minutes into your date, at 7:05, put your hand on her crotch. If she leaves your hand there, you know all you gotta know. If she knocks it off, well, it's early yet, just after seven o'clock. You got plenty of time to call up someone else. But you'd be surprised, kid. An awful lot of famous and beautiful broads don't knock your hand off their snatch."

Just saw this on another board & thought it would be good here, lol.....
;-)

A nickel ain't worth a dime anymore.

Always go to other people's funerals, otherwise they won't come to yours.

Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical.

Congratulations. I knew the record would stand until it was broken.

Even Napoleon had his Watergate.

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

I always thought that record would stand until it was broken.

I never said most of the things I said.

I think Little League is wonderful. It keeps the kids out of the house.

I wish I had an answer to that because I'm tired of answering that question.

I'm a lucky guy and I'm happy to be with the Yankees. And I want to thank everyone for making this night necessary.

I'm not going to buy my kids an encyclopedia. Let them walk to school like I did.

If people don't want to come out to the ball park, nobody's gonna stop 'em.

If the world was perfect, it wouldn't be.

If you ask me anything I don't know, I'm not going to answer.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

If you don't know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else.

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

It ain't the heat, it's the humility.

It gets late early out there.

It was impossible to get a conversation going, everybody was talking too much.

It's like deja-vu, all over again.

It's pretty far, but it doesn't seem like it.

Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded.

The future ain't what it used to be.

The towels were so thick there I could hardly close my suitcase.

We made too many wrong mistakes.
You better cut the pizza in four pieces because I'm not hungry enough to eat six.

You can observe a lot by just watching.

You should always go to other people's funerals; otherwise, they won't come to yours.

You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you are going, because you might not get there.

It ain't over till it's over.

when do you have time to play? It seems you live on this forum

You obviously have time to read the board, go to page two, find my post and comment.
But, since you feel you need to know, I am a multi-tasker.  I access this board, throughout the day, between appointments, while getting a pedicure, while waiting for a client to call letting me know he has arrived or, at the end of the day, while sitting watching TV.

I have a PDA and a wireless laptop.  It allows me to check my email (personal and business), peruse the board, and even post responses to sarcastic comments that are carefully hidden on page two of the board.

Have a good day!  And thank you for your concern.  If you have any other questions, or comments, feel free to PM so that I can respond directly.
