There was a message from someone who wanted to set up an appointment.  Most ladies screen and I def do... do I let the gent know I will get back to them after I got affirmation on references.  

So....The day went on and I was not able to check my emails till the end of the day.  I was busy and sidetracked.  I had gotten a nasty email back saying that he wanted to post a bad review on me... However I am baffled to get such a well.. shocking and harsh response.  We never committed to a time to meet or flaked on each other regarding this.  I do admit I did fail to follow up within the time frame promised.  I did take ownership for it and apologized.

I just wanted to know basically if this sort of review of someone I never met would be even valid.  I feel it is not very "ethical."  I apologize if this topic is inappropriate... I rarely post and am still new learning about reviews and all.  I am just a bit confused on how to handle something like this.

His response was inappropriate and should not be tolerated. You should pass this information on (just not here in an open forum).

Just in case this guy does follow through on his threat. If you have all the correspondence, you should have no trouble protecting yourself.
