Lemme get this straight....

I have a couple friends living in the San Diego area. As a result, I have gone down with them to Tijuana on many numerous occasions for hobbying. Everything is cheaper in Mexico; I get more bang for the buck (anywhere between $25/hour through $150/hour, $300 for an overnight date). It is all perfectly legal down there and as a result attracts some married professional gentleman that can't afford to get busted hobbying in the US.

However, safety for the providers seems to be an issue down there. During my last trip there, I had an overnight date in my hotel room and asked about safety of the girls. My provider started to cry and told me how she lost her best friend a few months back. Apparently, her friend was working in a club and met two African American hobbyists in the club. They both wanted to hobby with her at the same time. They went to a hotel room that is just above the club for the two guy on one girl session. Apparently, after an hour the guys were witnessed leaving the room but the provider never came out of the room. The hotel workers went to the room to find out what happened. The young woman apparently had sex with both men (based on the semen left in her vagina and on her body) and then she was beat and had her throat slit open with a blade resulting in her death.

My provider told me that this is not uncommon and it's usually American men that commit these horrible crimes. We hear all about the drug violence and travel warnings about going to Mexico. In reality, it's American hobbyists comitting ugly attrocities against Mexican providers.

My question to the Chicago providers is how you keep yourself safe from hobbyists like these gentlemen? If a Mexican provider can's be safe and escape with her life in a busy hotel, how can girls operating independently feel safe from the dangerous hobbyists? To make matters worse for the "touring provider," who would know that anything bad happened until the cleaning staff came in the room the next day?

There are some sick hobbyists out there!

We don't see anyone who has no list of reviews that he submitted . ( hint) It appears you have nothing to show us how safe you are. Not that I am saying you could very well be one of those bad guys but it says alot about a guy who plays and submits to the review boards. Why haven't you ?

... some ladies require your real legal name and check Id when meeting you?  It's not just so we can research you before we meet, but so that if we don't return safely home to delete your information - the cops, when looking into our disappearance, will know the last person who saw us alive and know where to start the investigation.  Safety isn't just about preventing bad things, it's about having contingency plans for after the fact as well.

A man who is well aware that he will be the first person questioned if anything goes awry is probably a tad less likely to slit your throat. ;-)

I'm am sorry that you don't like hearing the facts of the story including who commited the crime. There are some horrible things that sicko hobbyists can do. There are many hobbyists like me that visit Tijuana for the cheaper cost or the fact that you can't get "busted" by the police in Mexico for spending time with a provider. A friend of mine on a TJ board travels monthly from Chicago to Tijuana. He is a lawyer and can't risk get "busted" in the hobby.

It's great that providers screen for "personal safety" since it seems like they are mostly concerned about getting caught by LE. In Tijuana clubs, there is no screening what so ever and that probably leads to more sickos trying to get away with violence against the girls. I personally use the escort providers in Tijuana that charge between $100-$150 an hour or $300 for the whole night. I like knowing that a woman will not steal my wallet while I am in the bathroom or sleeping.

Safety is a two way street!

You have an attorney friend, that would go to Tijuana because of getting busted?  If I am going to hobby in Mexico, I would probably go to Cancun or Cabo before going to Tijuana or Juarez. I would probably go to Canada before Mexico.  However,   You spend the money for a flight and hotel to San Diego, to save a few bucks on some chick that doesn't screen or is a club girl?  Ever heard the saying penny wise, pound foolish?

I call bullshit too. When you go to the hotels above the bars there is always a guy banging on the door trying to tell you your time is up.

Ok let me see. You think that spending money on a flight to San Diego  from Chicago is cheap? And you mean to tell me /us , that you can not only spend the entire night with a unknown escort in Tijuana for $300.00 for a night is more trusting than with an American woman? So what I am reading here is that you could never, ever be crossed in Tijuana, and that you have more trust out of the country and you wont have your wallet stolen from you in Tijuana? What kind of weed are you smoking ? Because from the sounds of your thread you were sold some wicked stuff in TJ. Happy hobbying ,

Have you ever thought about why it may be so much cheaper to hobby in Mexico? (Think drug cartel and the exploitation of Mexican economies by countries like the United States.)

Additionally, let us not simplify the issue of femicide happening in cities like Juarez and Tijuana based on one "story" (which, by the way, I also think is bullshit. But I appreciate the opportunity to dialogue about this issue).  There is an intricate and very intentional system in place that leaves women and their bodies as collateral and commodity, thus not protected by law (considering that law enforcement officers in these areas are frequently the perpetrators of violence against women, are often corrupt and cooperating with organized crime that victimizes women, and often do not engage comprehensive investigations of murder) or community, ESPECIALLY if they participate in sex work.

Sex workers everywhere are at a higher risk of attacks. But sex workers in the US enjoy the privilege of screening and negotiating using technology and other sophisticated means. Although women in the United States are still affected by sexism and violence, it is simply not as easy for a hobbyist or anyone else to get away with such "ugly atrocities". And we take extreme caution in order to further protect ourselves and make sure potential perpetrators know this. This is not a luxury shared by sex workers in all places (even some right here in this country).

Yep thats what screening is for. Do none and you risk alot.Hobbyist may get frustrated but they sometimes don't think that we have a right to choose or for safety yet they want us to expose everything. We should feel safe just the same. If they don't wish to then just pass. Is your safety risk worth the money if something happened? I let them get frustrated when I want to be safe, thats my warning sign that they don't even care about me as human so I agree and don't bother to respond when they say I ask for too many hoops, when really I do not. But that's my flag none the less. If they are (usually) safe they will understand and send a referral /  verified handle or employment etc so be screened. The ones that gripe usually are the one to be careful of...... or why gripe? We all understand safety

While I agree that your safety is important, so is mine. Too many providers have their finger on the trigger with our private info. We're well aware of the black listing that happens for no good reason. Just like you don't know if you can trust us, we don't know if we can trust you.

Why gripe? Because we have no idea what you're going to do with our info. Some providers dispose of screening info once they're done screening but most don't. Some keep it for future use and even blackmail. There are extreme people in every walk of life but reasonable people compromise to reach an agreement.

I'm not complaining about tough screening practices, I understand why some ladies feel the way they do - I'm just giving the guys' point of view. I agree that we all understand safety but there is risk on both sides and the amount of risk we're willing to tolerate determines who we see.

Thanks for sharing. Sometimes we have to remember there is both sides.
I don't blame gentlemen for not wanting to give private info because I have seen what can happen.
I wouldn't want to give up mine either. There can be nuts on both sides.
I have been very lucky though and I say that is all about screening.
