I am disappointed as this gent booked an extended appointment right before the holidays that caused me to have to book 2 nights at a hotel. A fact I made him aware of as he wanted 3 to 5 hours starting at 11 a.m. I told him I could not be guaranteed an early check-in or late check-out and he understood and gave a final confirmation the day prior. Then cancelled the day of!He offered a 300 cancellation fee (to cover my hotel for 2 nights) and, of course, never followed through! I have given him sufficient time!
He is room service and I have made RS2K aware.
Anyone on the alerts list has gotten this already!

Many ladies are reporting that guys are cancelling at the last minute. These guys need to get their shit together. They will wind up on Do Not See lists if they continue with the last minute excuses. Do not set an appointment unless you know for sure you can make it. Goes for both sides!
I think it is important to remember that cancellations work two ways, and the weather and holidays tend to throw wrenches in peoples schedule. This in no way excuses anyone's bad behavior. I was canceled on for the first time in three years 2x in the past 2 weeks. The first time was weather. the second, bad scheduling. Each time I was given plenty of notice though.
Agreed....I've had to eat the cost of two downtown rooms this month.....both providers had over 15 positive reviews. One was a NCNS that later sent me a text saying she overslept. The other cancelled after I had checked in. Granted, it was snowing on those days, but I made it there!
Do not see lists? LOL. That will save some guys from their wretched selves. And there are plenty of fish.

Sorry to hear about Sinful's experience. No excuse not to follow up with the offer of making it right.
Ditto to the providers who do this as well. As a long time hobbyist, I've been NCNS'd a few times before, and to me it is always the follow-up that is more important. Like the previous post said, there's always a reason, but to not follow-up with a least an offer of something, however simple, is not good.
I've been NCNS'd plenty of times as well (as a client). Wasted numerous 2-3hr drives, and a few nights in hotel rooms. It sucks. If clients had an official bitching place to post NCNS's for providers I have a feeling the list would be mega.
Complicated scheduling, extra obligations, extra pressure. Not saying that last minute cancellations are acceptable, though shit happens and it is the followup that makes the difference, just that it can be a tough time for all of us.
Personally, I like to think that I am very good about scheduling, but there is one provider that I always seem to end up rescheduling once or twice before we get together. Seems a little strange as I have not done that with anyone else more than once. New Years resolution for 2011 - be more respectful of her time and get through the year with no reschedules with her.
Shit happens and last-minute cancellations are sometimes unavoidable but when you promise to make it right, make it right damn it! I've been there exactly twice and I made it right both times.
Sin has handled this in the proper way. She gave this guy plenty of time to live up to his promise. Everyone should learn from her process. You don't out someone on either side without giving the other party time to make it right and by time, I mean at least a few days. I know some of the die-hards here will disagree but this goes for NCNS as well.
I once had a provider stand me up after I drove an hour to her hotel, only to be told that she was lost and would be there in twenty minutes. After an hour's wait and a telephone call to her, I left. Posted this on TER and was asked to provide her name. Since guys want guys to share names, nothing wrong with providers doing the same among themselves.
