I set up a 1 hr. appointment at 10am for 1pm. I give the provider my RS info. She tells me she will confirm me and text me back. She calls back to ask if I want her 2hr special, and I decline. She never gets back to me, but calls when it's to late, to ask if I was coming. I tell her I never got her text, and she gets upset. Tells me I should have called her! Was I wrong in not calling?
When she called back to ask if you wanted her 2hr special did she tell you your verification went through? Had she already given you the location to go to?
Based on the brief description of your interaction, it sounds like a lack of communication between the two of you. I'd say you both share fault.
First, there is no need for communication on bread's part. The initial communication was both explicit and implicit. Implicit for the fact I contacted you to set up an appointment, explicit in the fact that I wanted to spend an hour with you on a given day at a given time. When she called about the 2 hour, and he says no, then the 1 hour should have been confirmed at that point for that was the original agreement.
I would only fault bread if the provider had given directions to the meet. Short of that, she should have given him the confirmation. Regardless of fault, bread54 needs relief!!!
Yeah, just some miscommunication that's all. Probably a little both at fault. I would have just rescheduled with her for another time or day, and brought her a little extra gift on the side for the trouble.
The fact that she called to ask if you were coming means she had already verified you but failed to send you the location info. You should have called her back and asked if it was still on rather than assuming it was off. Providers can get busy jugging multiple calls and forget who they sent what to. If you're not sure of your status and it's time to head off to the appointment, call her. If she doesn't answer, leave a VM and let her know you're unsure of whether you should head out. At this point you've done everything you can to make the appointment and if she doesn't get back to you until it's too late, it's her fault.
These situations arise quite often so if you're unsure, call or text her before you have to leave.
Personally, I get upset when a client emails or texts me about a appointment and assumes that I received it in time. I'll ask why didnt u call, texts and emails can get lost or delayed in cyber-tower space. I'm curious to know how much time passed before a call was made. She should have called you at least 10-15 minutes before or after to see where you were. You should have called to confirm the appointment time when you didnt hear from her. But initially 10 -15 minutes before i'm looking for you and your whereabouts , how close or far away you are, and i''ll call and text if I dont hear from you.
