Frozen and lost all their money in their account due to suspicious activity.

So IMO it's not a good idea on the providers part.

dispute the payment, ask for a refund and create all sorts of problems for the lady.

I've used it several times, due to not ever being able to go outside my house for cash. Also have used a debit card. My third method is to use Western Union to send the provider the money which they pick up at their location and then see me.

One tip on paypal--check off sending money to friends or family---NOT paying for goods and services. 1. it is less likely to arouse suspicion. 2. then there is no fee on either end to send or receive the funds, which there often is on paying for goods and services.  If you pay with a paypal Mastercard, you even get a small amount of cash back!

They're quick on the trigger to freeze accounts and refund payments for no good reason other than the purchaser filed a complaint. I've been ripped off a few times by purchasers who filed fake disputes and got refunds after the fact. Once a dispute is in, good luck winning your case as a seller, it's damn near impossible, and this is with a completely legal business. The dispute process is heavily skewed against the seller and in the sex trade, you have no recourse whatsoever.

BUT That was in a modeling/photographer case. Way long ago - I was a make up artist and models pay the photographer and I for our photoshoots together - and a model disputed it, and we won because ART is subjective. She said that the pictures weren't "good" but she paid for photoshoot with prints, and she received that.

BUT -

I only used it then for non-sex related work. We weren't doing nudes of the models who paid us, we were doing promotional/portfolios/comp cards.

I have never used PP for this world. And like others said - I wouldn't be so quick to do so EITHER, because of what I have heard. You have to be so super careful - I only use it to shop on Ebay.

If you are trying to accept/use credit cards (with providers) and have no other way the only way to not have the chance of getting a charge back - as far as I HAVE FOUND - is Western Union/Money Gram. But not that many people are comfortable wiring money BEFOREhand, and I would never accept it "after".

In fact - this post just reminded me to go to PP and change it from my Jamie email to my other email.

that plugs into the headphone jack on your smart phone.  Buyer has to sign after the transaction is approved, which makes it harder to dispute and you can issue a receipt that is e-mailed to buyer and remains a permanent record as well.  Fee is a reasonable 2.75% and funds are deposited into your bank account the next day.  You can name you business whatever you want so it can be inconspicious when it shows up on the CC bill/bank statement.

charge backs & disputes can and do happen with ANY AND ALL METHODS that accepts credit cards or debit cards. It has to do with international buyer protection laws.

there is not a single payments receiving method, nor business genre that is void of this. :-(
so far, there is also not any methods which are sex worker friendly...all of them, can and probably will seize funds if it is thought they are being used for prostitution purposes.

So if a lady is able to successfully accept funds without dishonest client doing a chargeback...it can still come to bite her in the ass; if the third party payment receiving (paypal, square reader...etc etc) takes notice of suspicious activity (emails, names, websites associated with any sex activity) and freezes or even seizes funds.

sucks that it can't always be convenient, but cash is king

when they make a transfer of the funds to your bank account about 4:00 a.m. the day after?  Plus, how can they put through a chargeback when you have a signed copy of the charge and provide the client with an invoice/receipt acknowledging goods or services were provided?  I think it's dumb for anybody to accept plastic in this business, but if they do Square is certainly better than an option like PayPal where you have an actual account with them and the card is not swiped.

But I have allowed new friends to use it occasionally with ID ... Never had an issue with it so far and it's been almost a year.

It is harder to dispute due to swiping and signing and remember escorting is not illegal. A couple of things I do in addition to just having them swipe and sign is have them write in the amount as well as sign on the line and take pictures with my iPhone of their ID and credit card. I also don't see how they can freeze an account when the money is sent within hours to my account. Usually people don't report to the company until there is a charge showing up somewhere. Not sure what a guy would say to his cc company ... "I just visited with an escort and I paid with my cc but didn't like the service"  ... I know it can happen but less likely. Plus if you screen well and they have references chances are much lower.
