I've googled the subject quite a bit, and I've read several articles and peices that state that prostitution is legal in Canada. According to what I've read, prostitution at the street level is not legal, and brothels are not legal, but the typical escort styled provider is supposedly already legal. I need to go back and try to find those articles.
Prostitutes in Canada cannot work the streets, offer incall, or work collaboratively in a brothel. Canadian sex workers routinely have been trying to get these laws overturned, in particular about offering incall or operating a brothel, because it prevents them from being able to work in the safest environments possible.
Then perhaps the court decision will allow the safety of working incall and/or in brothels.
Of course, with the atmosphere in Chicagoland, we'll never see reasonable decisions like this one here.
