The rest of the week looks pretty good, tomorrow especially.

What is a Derecho?

Derechoes are large clusters of thunderstorms that produce widespread wind damage, usually as a result of one or more curved lines of thunderstorms known as bow echoes. The word in the Spanish language means "straight" and these windstorms leave wide, long swaths of straight-line wind damage. These winds can be as strong as 50 to 100 mph (or higher).

Anyone getting crazy winds? The Rockford area just got crazy.

My poor dog is hiding under my desk beneath my feet shaking like a leaf. Plenty of thunder and rain coming down in buckets. It's a great night for a sleep over lol.

It was explained by our own Tom Skilling in Tribune just two days ago!!!!

I heard about the storms there.  To all of my Chicago friends please be safe.

While I was in DC. So scary!

I was on the 23rd floor of my hotel and we lost power, I was lucky I caught the 1st flight out because it turned into a cluster mess!

Be safe!

En route from Boston for my first Chicago tour and we've been sitting on the runway for a couple hours now!

Not going to lie... Kind of nervous to fly in this! Can't wait to get to Chicago!

My oakley loved and I mean loved thunderstorms like this...I never saw a dog that loved storms... she would have her nose glued to the patio door....lol She would also come and bark at you to let her out and we would always say no... lol...
ahhh the memories of our pets in situations like these storms...
