Some booted plays, some bonehead calls, some bad umpiring, and a couple of managerial moves that leave me bewildered, still.... As you say, IT'S MY MONEY, there were some moves by the Cub's management that I DO NOT GET!
But in terms of sheer excitement, this was the nail-biter for the ages....
And GOOD for baseball, too -- millions of people who never watch the Series any more tuned in.
Thank you, Chicago, for a wonderful time. And thanks, Cleveland, too, for an amazing struggle. No shame there in losing in game seven like that.... Great series, class acts, class teams.... As a lifelong NYY fan, I can only stew with envy at the ball playing of these young, classy teams....

But last night's game was exciting... thanks to Cubs manager mismanagement of pitching staff.

Game 6 in 1986 was IMHO far more dramatic. The NY Mets are on the brink of losing the Series. Mookie Wilson hits what should be an easy out to Bill Buckner at first. It goes through his legs, giving the Mets new life and ending Buckner's career in ignominy.
The Curse of the Billy Goat was the name of a sports-related curse that was supposedly placed on the Chicago Cubs Major League Baseball franchise in 1945 by Billy Goat Tavern owner William Sianis that lasted in a 71-year period from 1945 to 2016. Because the odor of his pet goat, Murphy, was bothering other fans, Sianis was asked to leave Wrigley Field, the Cubs' home ballpark, during game 4 of the 1945 World Series.[1][2] Outraged, Sianis allegedly declared, "Them Cubs, they ain't gonna win no more," which has been interpreted to mean that either the Cubs would never win another National League (NL) pennant, or that they would never again win a World Series.

Yes! With the 2 longest droughts in the MLB going up against each other? A 108 year drought for the Cubs and what is honestly a miracle season for the Indians? This has sports movie written all over it no matter the outcome. Even with the mismanagement of the pitching staff.
On another note, Theo Epstein is so hot... Love the way he put it all together.

the excitement from the players and the crowd was insane and couldn't help but draw everyone into the excitement. Congrats Cubbies, broke a curse and put on a heck of a show!
