It takes time to build-up a solid clientele in any city. Some cities you'll find suit you better than others on a variety of fronts for a variety of reasons. If you have a couple of out-of-town clients from the same city, one method is to reach out to those clients from that city along with advertising in advance in that city. You'll have a chance of having both new and old friends, some security along with room to grow. There is always risk, and sometimes it might take 3 trips before knowing whether a city suits you or doesn't. Every city has it's own character and way of doing things. Best of luck to you. Flexibility and ability to travel are definitely some of the perks...

So you know how we get emails from cities we rarely if ever visit:
When are you going to come visit _____
Any plans to visit _____
Let me know if you ever come to _____
You really ought to come down here to _____
Still no plans to visit _____
How about now? No?
ok…How about now?
Since Jan I've had nearly 50 (yes I counted) emails inquiries about a particular city (Yes you oh windy one),
I book the ticket (non refundable) because the more in advance the more affordable…I think.
I pay for the advertising (also non refundable haha)
Then…
Crickets.
This isn't an ad I've already canceled my Chicago tour and am giving my friend the ticket so she can visit her family.
My question for the ladies is this:
When venturing a new or rarely frequented city of yours do you book gentleman in advance then depending on the outcome buy your tickets and accommodations? Is this affordable or are you dishing out 7 bills on a flight that's usually barely 3? Same for last min accommodations. Is you 350 room now 6? Does it not matter since you feel securely booked?
This is the second time this has happened and is making me feel once bitten twice shy, which sucks because travel is a huge bonus about this hobby for me. I have my comfort zone where I can book my whole darn trip in advance...which I love, organized, neat, structured, calm tours but I'm itching to shake it up a little and there are sooo many cities that are really stunning in spring.
Insufficient booking…does it cost you or have you found a way around that?
My few years in the business has shown me that Chicago is more short-notice and last minute with regard to this business. Don't take this the wrong way as some guys do Pre-book but most tend to feel the mood strike and start dialing or reaching out to their Fav's. Most Chicago-ans are time poor and super busy. I always hear, I had some time open up for me are you available in an hour?
My business is mostly massage and B2B and perhaps it is different with being Escort only. I have a small group of massage only friends and it is the same for them also. We joke and say, they get a hard-on and start dialing for relief. I'm sure it has more to do with having some un-expectant time to themselves to squeeze a session in and play.
I've read on several boards from visiting ladies that they learn this is how the Chicago market tends to roll.
Hope this helps with future trips and I am sorry this happened to you.
Carly
This is the third time I've visited. Typically, I only visit when I have someone reach out to me and ask for an appointment or they visit me in Detroit and convince me to come. I almost exclusively pre-book, sometimes up to a month in advance in my home state. So coming to Chicago is always a tense endeavor.
It has been my experience that most prebooks cancel, most appointments are last minute, and it's better to not stay downtown because of the parking situation. Personally, last minute appointments are the bane of my existence because it can be difficult to screen so quickly and I don't like to feel that my safety is being compromised because I'm rushed to make things happen.
Look, I've been doing this a fair while. I live in Australia and I tour all around there, sometimes to new cities. I've also nearly completed a three month tour to the USA, a country I've never worked in before and which took some serious effort to research, get signed up and verified on your numerous sites, find out where to spend advertising monies, book flights, decide where to go etc etc. I don't want a badge for this I'm just making the point that this is not a book months in advance industry, we're not accountants!!
I took a punt on just about everywhere I went here. Some didn't pay off (LA and New York) and they were the most expensive hotels and advertising but some places have more than paid off and Chicago is one of them. I didn't have a single prebooking here the first time I came in April, but I got good bookings from sites I can't name P.... And not E...
I'm glad I came. Book a cheap hotel on Priceline.com and just come.
Fortune favours the bold!!
If you are able to book day of without worry, than you should.
In the days when agencies ruled Chicago, it was a must to be ready and willing every moment.
But then again, those were regulars...
Now with the independent structure, I'm afraid that due diligence is a modern must.
Take chances where you will but longevity is a standard I strive for in a not long for most industry.
Why is that? I believe it begins and ends with you.
Do you ask yourself what risks are worthy of you? Do you decide in advance? Because if not, than the last minute has little time but the moment to offer you.
Fyi, you look beautiful. Enjoy our city and be safe.
I still verify clients so the personal risks are minimal - that wasn't the kind of risk I was talking about Tiffany - I've been in this industry for 13 years since I was 22 so I'm not green or naive - I meant the risk of trying new places and launching yourself somewhere with no prebookings. It's relatively pain free and in my experience clients I've seen here are 5 times more polite, respectful and great to deal with than most Aussie guys

Thinking though a bit ahead of the game...I'm never really available on a dime.
My thoughts are that anyone thinking with their better head would be wondering why I'm available now and if whether I'm therefore relaxed in my screening...??
At least, that's what I wonder.
Some wonder afterwards why and I try not to do that. Ever.
It's a fair comment Tiffany. It's easy with some guys to do screening relatively quickly thanks to memberships on certain unnameable sites but if I can't verify quickly I definitely don't see.
No wonder you're doing so well here! You have a great attitude and look pretty damn good too. "Hell, I'll just show up and they'll cum"... and apparently we are
In a previous life, I knew some Aussie girls, never met any of them except online but you sound just like them, fun and sexy! Thanks for the compliments about our politeness too - I think that's a Chicago thing and it's most definitely not a NYC thing as you've already found out. And those LALA people are full of themselves. Now watch me get attacked by both coasts, LOL.
You and I will meet someday if you pass my screening, LOL... Hope you're enjoying our winter-like spring. If you miss that Aussie warmth, head out to LA, I hear it's been 104 there lately and plenty of flames to fan your fire -literally. Oops, I forgot, you use Celsius down under so what's that, about 40C?
One final question - why don't Aussies fall off the planet since you hang upside down?
PP
Hahaha thanks for the kind comments. I was born in England originally but the Aussie feistiness has definitely rubbed off
I look forward to making your acquaintance sometime Mr Pirate!!
I travel often and sometimes post an ad for the fuck of it
But, if visiting Chicago is not on your "to-do" list and you haven't other reasons to come...then you probably are right to cancel.
The trouble is a lot of tours have cancelled lately which makes gentlemen nervous about pre-booking visitors.
We've always been known for having a healthy hobby here...that also means that more women have moved and travel here often.
What is it called? Entry and exit economics? How fitting
I am planning on visiting soon and plan to pre-book in advance and hopefully it all goes well during my visit.
Warmly Charmaine xoxo
Let me just say that I would love to accommodate touring ladies and pre-book. Unfortunately, I have no idea what I will be doing a week or two from now. I have to make plans just a day ahead because long-term it doesn't work out.
Some people ask for advice and then have a hard time taking it?
I'm not one of those people. Thank you to each lady that took time to answer, all of it is appreciated and noted.
Oh yeah the website thing… That's my first site, I wanted to see it's value before shelling out for a domain and honey…they rarely look at or read it. I get contacted through here and the other site I'm on. Almost every appointment request results in my requesting information and/or answering question that are in bold print on my site. I agree it could be better but trust me the 400 isn't for my web designing skills ![]()
This is mostly from my own observations and deduction, but A lot of women will post an ad saying they're coming, then decide whether or not to actually come based on the response they get from their ads. If they don't get enough of a response to make it worthwhile, they just follow up the ad saying their trip is canceled. Some guys complain about that but I don't have any problem with it.
It is very true that simply being here and available will get you business. I've been all over the country and Chicagoans tend to be quite a bit more frazzled and "last minute" than others. I have a hard time even making appointments because my job often requires me to be available when I'm not "on the clock". But when I find I have an evening free there's a good chance I'll be browsing this and a couple other sites.
It's freaked me out in the past. I swear, from the second you start advertising your visit until you've already checked into your incall, it'll be total crickets. Then out of nowhere, they come out of the woodwork and you'll be struggling just to keep up with the emails. It's nerve-wracking for sure (especially for those of us who are based in cities where pre-booking WAY in advance is the norm), but after a couple of visits you'll get into the groove. Chicago guys may be last minute bookers, but they kick incomprehensible amounts of ass as clients. Give it another shot sometime. It just takes a little leap of faith and some frugal planning.
On a somewhat unrelated note (I personally haven't seen too many Chicago guys pull this...they usually end up following through), one of my pet peeves is the number of emails I get on a daily basis that say "Any plans to visit [Frog Balls, Arkansas/whatever obscure location the case may be]? I think you'd do well here. I for one would be interested in 90 minutes." I'll spare y'all the rant on that topic, but I think most of the ladies can empathize.
True, but the deep fried town namesake is to die for.... ;-P

Chicago has major traffic issues (thanks Josephine for understanding this). So we book based on which of the sub-cities you're staying in. Downtown is incomprehensible for suburbanites and pretty much vice versa for the city dwellers. So if you're not clear exactly what part of this huge metro area you're staying or if you're not visiting multiple sub-cities, it can be difficult for us to book. Many of us are unwilling to drive for hours in traffic jams so if you stay in only one location, you're limiting yourself considerably.
Chicago is a huge metropolitan area. It's not enough to simply advertise that you'll be in Chicago. The first question we ask is which part of Chicago? We're talking 50 miles N-S and 30 miles E-W and the traffic to go across these large distances is almost impossible to justify during rush hours.
Completely agree with this!!! I am a city dweller and even the most beautiful lady providing incall in the west or northwest burbs ain't gonna get me heading out there. Round trip could take me four+ hours!

I appreciate that feedback. While I don't like to limit myself, I like suburban tours even less.
I said downtown in my ad here and specifically Mag Mile in others. I love Chicago and when I'm there I need to be able to eat at mom n pop spots as well as fine dining, walk a few blocks for a night of blues, have a drink in the JH bar staring at the city… I hate to be stuck in a part of town where the mall is the focal attraction and there's not much to do but drink in the local or hotel bar, be noticed and make up lies to nosy business men stuck in the same hotel or stay walled up in my room like an agoraphobic which I think attracts attention too.
I want to travel to…see the city. Or else I wouldn't tour at all. Plenty men here. Mag Mile, Dupont Circle (all the circles really), Theatre Row…
As for traffic…I live in LA, tour DC, NY... and we all think we have the worst traffic. We make do though.
I'm one of those carless city dwellers, so it's Mag Mile or Gold Coast only for me. If I don't know for certain that a lady is hosting in downtown or reasonably close, I can't book. And yes, of course, I can email and ask.
He's a smart dude, and recently corrected me for not thinking about the entire metro area
I've never heard of you before this post. I didn't happen to see your announcement that you were touring, but holy crap...If YOU can't garner interest, with those photos, hell is getting chilly. Put me on your list when you do visit - I'd be happy to welcome you. Crickets? Seriously? how?
