I notice that I am getting more unsolicited emails, texts, and voice mails from providers I've seen in the past encouraging me to make an appointment.  I also notice more specials on the board and it seems that some providers raised their prices a few months ago and have now backed them back down.  Hobbying seems like a good indicator of what is going on in the economy since it is very expensive if you do it on a regular basis and highly discretionary.

I keep reading that business is down in the hobby, but I seem to have some difficulty making appointments lately.  Sometimes I get no response from a lady or my requested time is not available and she wants to contact me a day or two later to try again and I never hear back.  I guess it's just part of the experience and may not have anything to do with business being slow or brisk.
